Sampler at brewery. Pours pineapple yellow with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid tropical fruit and wood notes on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Solid. mansquito (7127) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 24, 2017
At the source: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, some citrus and tropical fruit and a distinct lager note. Taste is somewhat bitter. There are plenty pf fruity notes. Very drinkable. Bebum (1121) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 4, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2017 Cloudy gold, tall but short lived head. Full body, intensely flavored, smooth texture, moderate heat and carbonation, rich mouthfeel, clean and lingering aftertaste. Bitter, dry but well balanced, crisp. Assertively hoppy, resiny, grapefruit flavor. Delicious, almost could pass as an ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone JulienHuxley (5980) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Almost completely clear gold pour with white head that leaves sheets of foam behind. Aroma is super hoppy, fruity, light pine, grapefruit. Taste is bitter, resinous, lots of pink grapefruit. Palate is med light bodied with med-light carbonation. 6.5% on the menu here, they may have dialed it back somewhat. Tasty. On tap on premise. Cloudy-muddy orangey with a small white head leaving little lacing. Aroma is super herbal with dank notes and some citrus and melons notes. Taste is sweet, a bit spicy, rather dank and with some citrus presence. Bitterness is medium and resinous. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Quite oily. Herbal finish. Good but a bit harsh and far less drinkable than the regular Hoponius Union. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 9, 2017
Pours a murky/dirty golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Cloudy NEIPAs are not the finest looking beers ever but yellow seems like a better fit and more appeatizing than golden/brown. Nose is of onions, juicy tropical fruits and oranges. Taste is lightly sweet and loaded with dank hops, resin, pine needles, fruits and some perfume. Lots going on but it’s all really pleasing. Body and carbonation are moderate and not feel is NOT juicy (sadface emoji). All in all it was a pretty good hop fix but recipe/execution could have been a lot better. czar (9609) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 13, 2017
on tap on the premises - pre-ebf. murky pale yellow pour, gold tint, with a very creamy off-white cap offering good retention and lacing - some flakes as well. dankness, lots of melons, orange juice, candied oranges, lots of pine and resin, spicy as in hot peppers, grapefruit meat, clean yeast, although no lagering perceived. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily and a tad heavy; piney-resinous finish. overdone - regular hoponius union seems miles ahead. djd07 (16289) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 28, 2016
Growler thanks to Seth. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong tropical fruit, pine, citrus. Medium body, juicy hop, tropical fruit, light bitterness, very nice. hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 25, 2016
On tap at the CBF. Hopped with Calypso. Poured a golden color with an averaged sized head. Citrus, floral hops, and fruitiness.
