COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Off the Beaten Path 1 was inspired by the classic Saisons that exude balance, grace, and innocence. Fermented with traditional Saison yeast strains in stainless steel and bottled conditioned with our proprietary mixed Saison culture. OTBP 1 dances on the palate with light nuances of pome fruit, peppercorns, herbaceous undertones, and straw.

ctipping (2358) - Florida, USA - APR 4, 2018
375 mL bottle. Very pale hazy yellow. Big white head. Smells a little herbal, lemony, and doughy. Tastes the faintest bit lemony, but not really tart. Some earthy yeast flavors. A little grainy with a bright crisp cracker malt. Finishes a little doughy with a slight white pepper aftertaste. Light body with high carbonation. Simple but very tasty.

Big gushing bubbly head, murky pale yellow color, aroma of apple, cinamon and minerals, flavor of citrus and peach with a hint of apple, a bit harsh light to medium herbal bitterness, light sourness. Nice and drinkable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks zvikar. Murky pale yellow, white head. Funky, floral, earthy, spicy, fruity, citric, quite dry, yeast, bitterish finish, medium-bodied. Very nice.

Bottle. This boils slowly out of the bottle after opened, even after you've poured a bit. The pour is super-light yellow, with a giant, super-airy head. The aroma is almost off-putting, wild and funky. This drinks with a definitive, wild character ... farmhouse sweetness, and a bit of herbal tones. (#6980, 3/2018)

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2018 375mL capped bottle. Fuzzy head fades quickly. Cloudy yellow appearance. At first sniff the aroma is very bretty. Closer inspection leads to a lot of citric aromas. But it's not clean, messy, some dishwater. Flavor is much less distinct herbal Brett with more tart citric acid. Again light and messy. Light carbonated body. It's a base beer I like but done in a subpar way.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2018 Tap. Poured clear yellow color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast, herbal and spice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sour & sweet flavor with a medium sour & sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

500ml bottle pours bright clear straw yellow with huge head and lots of fizz. Nose and taste have great wild saison character with light balanced bretty hay, lemon, grass, finishes dry with a touch of tartness and spice. Drinks super easy but still holds nice bits of complexity. Wonderful.
