Draft at Jackie o-s in summer 2013 from notes. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice caramel and toasted bread malt base with a pretty nice hop character that has earthy, herbal and grassy hops. A bit more character than your typical amber.

Tap sample. Poured dark hazy amber hue with medium frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy aroma of earthy hops, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced flavor of malt and earthy hops with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Nitro version sample at Jackie O’s Public House on 8/16/13. Cloudy copper in color with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, spicy hop and onion. Malty flavor up front, quickly turning to oniony hops before an earthy finish.

Taster on tap at Jackie-Os. Mostly clear, red - orange color. Thin off-white head. More full, thicker lace. Spicy, tropical fruity aroma. Some bigger caramel malt. Light honey malt. Little chocolate. Bigger body. Light, smooth carbonation. Hint of coffee. Some moderate to stronger bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Stronger spicy taste. Interesting red ale, with that hop profile, but sweet spicy malt kind of takes over.

Nitro draft sample on the Public House side. Pours a clear copper with a cream cap that rests atop the beer for quite some time. An aggressive hop profile shines through first, with earthy, grassy, and herbal notes, along with bready and caramel malts. Bitter finish. Light-medium bodied, with a creamy, bitter mouthfeel and soft carbonation. I dug the nitro treatment on this. Good hoppy amber ale.

Poured on draft at Jackie-Os. Pours a bright amber with a creamy head of beige foam. Aroma has grapefruit, oranges, and caramel. Tastes bitter up front, but moves to sweet quickly. Creamy mouthfeel.
