Draft at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have dark chocolate, some roasted malt, char, earthy, a mild nutty character, light smoke to the finish. Nice. WVHouseofBeer (1109) - West Virginia, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Very good Baltic Porter on draft at Jackie O’s Public House. Tar black with off white head conceals a creamy, medium body. Some cocoa nibs, roasted malts and hints of coffee come through. Not too much carbonation so it hits down really smooth and again, like cream. Beautiful beer. phaleslu (11003) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 16, 2014
Draft at Jackie-O’s during Ohio Brew Week’s opening weekend. Pours a deep brown color with a small beige head that leaves a sheet of lace in the glass. Notes of dark chocolate, big toasted malts, earth, nuts, and lighter roasted malts. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a roasty, bitter mouthfeel. Very nice Baltic porter. Sample at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Medium-bodied with flavors of charred malt, black coffee and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a smoked malt and chocolate aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Sample and then a full pour at the brewpub on 6/7/14. Darkest brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, bread and caramel. Malty and caramelly flavor up front, giving way to breadiness and chocolate before a nice, roasty finish. Solid. JStax (7400) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUN 8, 2014
Draft pour at the source. Dark brown to black with a khaki colored head of foam. Aroma has roast, toffee, smoke, and chocolate. The taste is fairly sweet and chocolaty. Thicker mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2014
10oz on tap at the brewpub. Pretty much black color. Thin ring of khaki head. Couple dots and ropes of lace. Bigger bitter taste, light bit of sweetness. Little spicy bite. Good big bitter dark chocolate, cocoa nib. Bit of dark fruit, hint of molasses, some smoke. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Good chewy texture. Good long cocoa aftertaste, some coffee roast comes out as this warms up. Great baltic porter.
