Pint glass from draft. No head at all, pours dark compared to most pumpkin beers. Very herb and spicy. Best pumpkin beer there is for sure...they just aren’t my thing. Brigadier (3780) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - NOV 3, 2014

The final sample before heading home introduced me to Jackie O’s pumpkin seasonal. A strong first impression leads to a slight letdown in execution but I would still recommend this to anybody looking for a local / regional fall offering.
Aroma / Appearance - A rich reddish brown base retains little head leaving a flat lifeless body to look at. Nutmeg, cinnamon, whipped cream, and slightly overcooked pie crust bring to mind a pumpkin pie which has just been taken out of the oven. More dessert focused than earthy, this definitely falls to the sweet end of the spectrum.
Flavor / Palate - A full bodied mouthfeel coats the palate with waves of nutmeg, cinnamon, and earthy sweetness. The warm finish radiates canned pumpkin pie throughout the throat. A solid release might not stand out but overall it possesses enough bright spots to deserve at least a short look.
5oz sample draft from Daily Growler, UA. Clear amber pour with thin light tan head. Aroma of sweet pumpkin and spice. Tastes focus on pumpkin spice - cinnamon, cardamon the most prominent. Not overly sweet, so ok by me. mikesaum (712) - Newark, Ohio, USA - OCT 30, 2013
Tap, mahogany with a small white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie straight up, not overspiced like a lot of pumpkin brews, smooth vanilla aroma and light cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is sweet and malty, brown sugar, a little bitter, pumpkin pie, vanilla, flavors everywhere. pretty good stuff. b3shine (9280) - Indiana, USA - OCT 25, 2013
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a cloudy amberish brown with thin foamy head somewhere between off-white and light beige. Smells solid; pumpkin, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spices. Tastes like it smells, only not as robust. Smooth on the palate with a fairly full body. A solid pumpkin ale.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy fall orange color with a small khaki head that leaves spots and streaks of lace. Aroma of nutmeg, gingerbread, caramel, cinnamon, and herbs. Flavor of nutmeg, graham cracker, brown sugar, earth, pumpkin, and a long, boozy finish. Surprising punch for 7.6%. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and an earthy, warm mouthfeel. Seems like a heavy pumpkin ale but hits the right notes. RRistow12 (980) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Tasted from draft at brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with white head. Good lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin spice. Taste is pumpkin pie with robust taste of pumpkin spice and cinnamon. Fairly sweet overall with faint bitterness at the end. Great pumpkin beer.

From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a growler this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a small soapy beige head that faded quickly and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish pumpkin pie, faint caramel and pie crust. The flavor was tangy and woody with notes of nutmeg, bread, a bitter middle followed by faint pie crust and pepper. Medium length dry and vaguely spicy finish. Medium body. Eh. Sheerbrewing (117) - Athens-Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Growler from pub side. Pours a deep hazy amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is spices and sweet malt with roasty pumpkin. Flavor is rich sweet malt on the front end with a spice note of cinnimon and pumpkin pie spice. Overall this is a nice pumpkin lots of nice spice and clean yeast notes that makes for a very drinkable brew given the alcohol. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2011
On tap at Jackie-Os. Opaque dark orange color. Thin, creamy beige head. Nice, moderate lacing. Really smooth carbonation. Seemingly lighter body. Light dryness. Hearty pumpkin aroma and spice, some discernible alcohol. Light bitter taste. Really good.
