UPDATED: MAR 5, 2011 Draft. Pours clear orange. Nose and taste of pumpkin cake, nutmeg, brown sugar, pie crust, cinnamon, all spice and ginger crisp. One of the best pumpkin beers I’ve ever had. Tmoney99 (14850) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Tap sample. Poured clear copper color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid doughy pumpkin pie and small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice, nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin flavor with a medium to heavy spice sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout seasonal beer.

Sample at the Jackie O’s Bottle Sale on 08/27/2011. The beer is a murky brownish-orange color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet spices, brown sugar and malt. Medium body with a savory blend of spices, most notably cinnamon and nutmeg. Sweet brown sugar and malt in the background. The finish is sweet with a lingering pumpkin pie aftertaste. Pretty good overall. deyholla (12021) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 4, 2010
Sampled from the tap at the brewery during the 5th anniversary party. Poured a hazy reddish amber with a gray head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was dominated by cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar with a pumpkin backing. Flavor had a pumpkin note at the start but was quickly overtaken by cardamon, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. alexsdad06 (10639) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 11, 2010
Draft sample @ experimental beer fest in November. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma had the typical holiday spices with mild pumpkin notes. The flavor had mild pumpkin and holiday spices, cinnamon being noticeable, with a decent bitterness toward the finish. The flavor didn’t seem to pop like I was expecting, however this was consumed in between some big flavorful beers. I will revisit this the next time it comes out and update my rating.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy fall orange color with a small khaki head that leaves spots and streaks of lace. Aroma of nutmeg, gingerbread, caramel, cinnamon, and herbs. Flavor of nutmeg, graham cracker, brown sugar, earth, pumpkin, and a long, boozy finish. Surprising punch for 7.6%. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and an earthy, warm mouthfeel. Seems like a heavy pumpkin ale but hits the right notes. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2011
On tap at Jackie-Os. Opaque dark orange color. Thin, creamy beige head. Nice, moderate lacing. Really smooth carbonation. Seemingly lighter body. Light dryness. Hearty pumpkin aroma and spice, some discernible alcohol. Light bitter taste. Really good. b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - OCT 25, 2013
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a cloudy amberish brown with thin foamy head somewhere between off-white and light beige. Smells solid; pumpkin, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spices. Tastes like it smells, only not as robust. Smooth on the palate with a fairly full body. A solid pumpkin ale. JaBier (8156) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 20, 2010
Sampled at Jackie O’s Experimental Beer Fest on 11/6/10. Pours a clear amber/copper with a medium tan head. Aroma is cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice. Cinnamon flavor up front with some sweet malt, nutmeg and allspice before a dry ginger finish. Not short on the spices. My kind of pumpkin ale. From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a growler this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a small soapy beige head that faded quickly and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish pumpkin pie, faint caramel and pie crust. The flavor was tangy and woody with notes of nutmeg, bread, a bitter middle followed by faint pie crust and pepper. Medium length dry and vaguely spicy finish. Medium body. Eh.
