Been looking forward to this one. Got to try it at the 4th Anniversary some years back, but had a head cold at the time. Sample at the Jackie O’s pub (Brewery side) on 8/16/13. Clear brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of brett, malt, cherry and raspberry. Sweet cherry and malt flavor up front, then quickly turning to a funky and sour raspberry finish. A very unique beer because the cherries and raspberries hit the palate in completely different ways, giving two separate fruit accents vs. the proverbial fruit cocktail. Awesome stuff. Bottle shared at DC Annual Epic Sour Tasting, thanks Travlr! Dark brown with off-white head. Aromas of tart dark fruit, vinegar, funk. Tastes of dark fruit, vinegar, funk, tart fruit. Medium body with a dry finish. Delicious. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Thanks Mark! Pours a brown coffee color with a solid quilt of tans. Smells of oak, cherry, touch of chocolate, maybe some raspberry musk. Decent nose. Flavor is richly cherry, some more dark chocolate, some more musk. There’s oak, some tannins and a nice tartness. A bit of umami in the flavor that gives depth to all the components. Medium on thin with moderately reserved carb and a dry finish. Good beer. BiiruBierBeer (1056) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - APR 4, 2016
Smell is malt and mineral. Taste is really nice sour with a subtle malt background. Medium body, light carbonation, and no foam. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - MAR 12, 2014
2013 bottle. Big thanks to DrSilverworm for this. Bottle 212/400, shared at Jeff’s. Clear mahogany color (very appropriate) with almost no head. Love the aroma. Raspberry jam, sour funk and barnyard, lemons, and wood. Taste brings out the cherries more to go with the raspberries. A touch of sweetness helps to counter the rather strong sourness. Just the perfect amount of barnyard in the finish. Cool beer and my kinda sour.

Bottle at DC Epic Sour Tasting 2014, courtesy of me, thank me very much! Clear maroon brown color. Nice aroma of tart cherry, raspberry, port wine. Taste is softly sweet and sour dark fruit. Very nice. Tmoney99 (14857) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Tap sample. Poured a clear reddish brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour & tart fruit aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - MAY 25, 2014
Bottle thanks to alexsdad ! Pours a rusty brown color with a finger of eggshell foam. Lots going on in this beer... big sour cherry notes in the nose mingle with vinous acidity and layers of caramel, earthy compost and some funky wet wood. The raspberry starts coming through in the palate midway through and pairs nicely of the cherry notes adding a layer of earth ripe raspberry and tartness to enhance the sour cherry flavors. Long complex finish with great barrel character ! gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Poured a red/black. Nose is acidic, sweet fruits, fig, dark fruit, grapes, raisin and prune. Flavor is a nice lactic sourness, tart fruits, funk, bold fruit, dark roast and funk. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 11, 2009
