Sample from bottle #146/400 at the Jackie O’s Staff Bottle Tasting Part 1 on 04/11/2015. The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, oak and malt. Medium-bodied with a vinous oak character and notes of tart cherry, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is moderately sour with a cherry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bottle at de Garde, Tillamook. Pours a deep reddish brown, still aspect. Aroma very tannic, some fruit as well. Body rich and acetic, lacto tang but again, really tannic. Good but not world-class.
