Draft at One Funky Afternoon (2011, from notes). Pours dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma is nicely tart, wood, light vanilla, raspberry/blackberry, dark malts and chocolate with some Brett character funk. The flavor has a nice raspberry fruitiness, lightly tart, dark malt, chocolate, vanilla, mild bourbon, wood, with a nice dry , lightly funky finish. I thought this was pretty interesting. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 31, 2011
Dark pour with a lush tan head, one of the more carbonated beers from one funky afternoon. Quite a complex aroma, vanilla, blackberry, funky brett, and chocolate. Flavor follows suite. Pretty interesting stuff cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2011
A-pours a dark black with some light shining through and a light tan colored head.
S-the nose is very nice, strong notes of blackberries, lightly tart, hints of brett and notes of licorice.
T-the brett becomes stronger, the sugars have become slightly numbed, sweet blackberries are still nice and there is a pleasant moderate tartness. the flavor is slightly thin and has a bit of a leathery finish and a light dark malt presence. the flatness and bretty leather don’t compliment the sweet blackberries as well as they could and integration is slightly lacking.
M-medium to light body and highly carbonated with a semi dry finish. a little over active on the carb and somewhat thin finish.
D-not a bad beer, nice berry presence, the brett is slightly muttled and unintegrated but overal pretty solid. Dogbrick (13146) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 6, 2011
Sample at One Funky Afternoon at Jackie O’s on 04/02/2011: This brew is a dark brown color with a pinot noir hue and a thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Sparse patches of lacing on the glass. Oaky vanilla and raspberry in the nose. Medium to full body with a dark berry character along with some wood and vanilla flavors. Tart berry flavor in the background throughout. The finish is somewhat sour with notes of brett lingering. Enjoyable all around. JaBier (8027) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 4, 2011
Sampled during One Funky Afternoon on 4/2/11. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Nose of raspberry, vanilla, bourbon and sour funkiness. Raspberry and vanilla hit the palate first, then a bit of booze and chocolate before a tart and bitter brett finish.

This poured a very dark blue/purple color with a small beige head. Aroma was of tart blackberries, and light barrel notes. Flavor was very tart, nice blackberry otes, and slight funky and spiceyness too. Probably my favorite from the event. JStax (6919) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2011
On tap into a sampler glass. Appearance is a dark brown, nearly black with a tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is brett, raspberries, chocolate, and a touch of vanilla. The vanilla is almost unnoticed. Taste is initially sour then the chocolate covered raspberry taste finds its way to the forefront with the brett still playing a key part. Bourbon wasn’t nearly as overbearing in this beer as some of Jackie-O’s other offerings. Enjoyed a lot.
