from notes at ACBF. Pours a nice creamier brown hue. Huge, and I mean frickin huge maple nose, unlike anyother beer with maple in it i’ve ever had. It’s pretty smooth on the palate, and normally with the two dimensional palate I would have given it a lower rating, but the sweetness and bourbon plus the maple really hit my palate the right way this time. The balance was ok, but so much flavor. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 8, 2011
Tap at ACBF. Dark brown pour, small head. Interesting idea barrel aging a dubbel- has the classic sweet malt and nuttiness of a dubbel, but with woody vanilla present as well. Not sure it works, but points for originality.
