Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR. Pours a dark mahogany color with no head. Nose is buttered pecan, ash, chocolate cherry cordials, and toasted oak. Taste is sort of tar and vinegar light. At first I thought I didn’t rinse out my glass but I guess thats how it is.

( 22oz bottle #9/72, bottles 11/16/09 thanks to BMan1113VR) Pours clear brown with a ring of oily bubbles. Nose of bourbon, cedar wood, light cherries, peat, and caramel. Taste of chocolate, bourbon, rum raisins. Nice flavorful finish that is warming, but really the alcohol is extremely well hidden. Great beer.

I have BMan1113VR to thank for this one. Pours an attractive, very deep, clear umber body with no head. Nose is malt sweetness, bourbon, toffee and some vanilla. Tastes of alcohol, malt, caramel and a bit of tart or sour. Finish is (bourbon) alcoholic, light floral hops and toffee. Medium mouthfeel and a short, clean finish.

Thanks to bman1113VR for sharing this bottle. Bottle 9 of 72. Pours a murky, medium brown with a small white head. The aroma is great, with cherry, oak, vanilla and bourbon. The flavor is vanilla cherry with some oak character. The overall flavor is semi-sweet. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.

2009 batch bottle number 9/72 via a trade with StFun. Pours with a minimal head and a hazy brown body. Aroma of pecans, mothballs, wood, earth, dirt, caramel and tobacco. Also a note of a chocolate filled with cherry liquor. Taste is vanilla, cherry, chocolate, wood and caramel. Syrupy mouthfeel and light bubbles. A unique scotch ale to say the least. Thank you George Thorogood!
