Cloudy dark red brown beer. No head. Dry palate. A distinct milky cream note before a dry sourness kicks in along with herbal bitterness. A little coca cola. Finishes dry and slightly bitter with some of the milkyness coming back. Okay but a bit off the wall and not this particular example not my cup of tea.

Thanks to the giver JaBier for sharing a bottle (although not personalized like my Orange Oak). Pours a murky dark brown color with with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing. Bourbon aroma with notes of dark malts and chocolate. Medium body with flavors of bourbon, smoked malt and chocolate. Notes of earth as well. The finish is earthy malt and fruit. Pretty good overall. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - FEB 28, 2010

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2014 Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours cloudy and dark brown with a small, creamy, khaki head. Decent retention. The aroma is a collection of bourbon, caramel, toasted malts and plums. Medium-bodied with gentle carbonation. Caramely-chocolaty-meaty-malty flavor that also offers mild acidity drawn from the plum skins. Finishes sweet, caramely and lightly tart. Big-time THANKS to a big-time friend, darkguardian, for sharing this unique, world class Scotch ale!
