Big thanks to goryshkewych for this one. Pours dark red with an off-white head. Nose is bourbon, vanilla, maple, malt, and lots of sweetness with a bit of booziness. Flavor is wood, vanilla, malt, bourbon, sweetness, huge booze, and finishing with caramel. Rock on, Brad and Jackie O’s. Great beers so far! wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - OCT 27, 2010
bottle # 15/72 courtesy of alexsdad, thanks for this rarity! drank to my head, like most of my beers. wow, the pour on this is very dark, slightly muddy and nearly opaque brown with only a skimming layer of head. aroma of big butterscotch, bourbon, and some slight tart cherries underneath. the taste is awesome, very buttery and bourbonish, has a hint of tart cherries as if aged in a red wine barrel. usually i would hate this, but it is light, and blends nicely with the sweet, bright bourbon profile spices. this was better than i thought, and i mean that once i sensed cherries i thoiught i would hate it, but it is actually quite good. surpirsing gem here. 22oz bottle, shared with the group. 2012 vintage, 119 / 192. ABV was 9.5%. Very dark brown color, light red, clear on the edges. Thin, light brown head. Little decent lace. Great aroma... Vanilla, peat, and light smoke in the nose. Bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry overall. Nice bitter, light savory taste. Little sweet. Good long peaty bitter aftertaste. Very light caramel notes. Good spread of lace. Really good... Way better than expected. Love that light, balanced sweetness and smoke, works great with the vanilla.

Growler share by JW77! Brown pour. Aroma is a wonderful mix of bourbon, dark fruits and peat. Flavor is full of booze and fruit. Bourbon is upfront and bold. Good stuff. Ibrew2or3 (8860) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 30, 2009
Growler pour courtesy of markwise. Pours a strikingly clear garnet with off white head. The aroma is full with bold bourbon and vanilla along with oak and a tasty smelling layer of burnt bread, malts, a touch of cinnamon and a hint of pork sandwich. The taste is smooth and a bit thin with an initial pulse of sweet malts slowly bleeding into sweet bourbon, dry bourbon booze, oak and vanilla. Into the finish a pleasing touch of roastiness wells up amid vanilla and oak. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Thanks to bman1113VR for sharing this bottle. Bottle 9 of 72. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Pours a murky, medium brown with a small white head. The aroma is great, with cherry, oak, vanilla and bourbon. The flavor is vanilla cherry with some oak character. The overall flavor is semi-sweet. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.
( 22oz bottle #9/72, bottles 11/16/09 thanks to BMan1113VR) Pours clear brown with a ring of oily bubbles. Nose of bourbon, cedar wood, light cherries, peat, and caramel. Taste of chocolate, bourbon, rum raisins. Nice flavorful finish that is warming, but really the alcohol is extremely well hidden. Great beer. illidurit (2355) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 23, 2010
Bomber shared at Woodshop 5.0. Dark but clear brown color with a thin ecru head. Sweet bourbon notes without the booziness, coconut, light smoke. Chocolate, roast, smoke, and peat in the flavor, along with an inexplicable winey note that’s pretty mild but there. Dark fruits and caramel make minor appearances. Thick, slightly acidic, very good.
