Dark fruit. Tons of it. Vanilla, caramel. Pours a dark purple/brown with minimal dark tan head. Candy sweet. Smooth with a hint of effervescence. Vanilla, fruit. A hint of pipe tobacco. Nice warmth on the finish.

22oz bottle to snifter. Nose is full of booze with a ton of raisin and plum. Pour is deep dark brown with a small light brown head that dies immediately. Taste is raisin and dried fruit followed by hot alcohols and a moderate chest warming alcohol presence. Chewy mouthfeel, but the alcohol just continues to build and overpower the base beer.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Corbet. Deep mahogany body with some darker, ruby tinted edges; the thinnest, khaki colored collar sits quietly on top. Aroma of stale raisins, toffee, red apples, a little bit of harsh booziness that kind of overpowers things. Hot, sweet. Taste is even boozier than the aroma indicates. Hot! Loads of spicy oak, soaked immensely with fiery bourbon. Some hefty dark fruit sweetness tries to balance but just collides, really. Prune, black licorice, anise, fig. Hint of stale caramel. Lingering booze that heats up the palate & burns on the way down. Too hot, this thing needs to be tamed.

22oz bottle shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours dark rusty brown with a small head. Nose is nutty boozy bourbon spice dark fruit and caramel raisin. Taste has wonderful silky mouthfeel, lots of dark fruit, some roastiness, oaky vanilla, boozy spice. Finish is roasty spice fruit, raisin, caramel, vanilla, some nutty brown sugar and almond. Nice sipper that tastes bigger than it feels, with good complexity.

Bottle... Clear brown pour with mahogany highlights. No head. Smells like the Town Hall Twisted Trace - mainly of bourbon. Full-bodied and velvety with stinging carbonation. Great bourbon flavor without being hot or harsh. Plenty of rich, toasted malts and dark fruits, but the bourbon is front and center. I’m glad it is, because it’s rock solid and very enjoyable. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Bottle shared by Darkguardian. Dark brown pour with no real head. Big bourbon bouquet. Bitter dark roasted malts, bourbon. Average body and mouthfeel.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, spicy yeast, some bourbon and oak and vanilla, some chocolate, caramel and toffee, and some light bitterness. Flavor the same with a lot of dark fruits. Smoother texture. A solid quad, but weird because there are too many dark fruit notes for my liking.

Bomber to snifter (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good; a cloudy dark brown with thin beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good; dark fruit, vanilla, oak, and a touch of mildly smooth bourbon. Tastes Ike it smells, but tart. Merge fruit too. Average on the palate. Good beer, but it smells better than it tastes and the mouthfeel is odd for the style. It could be mildly infected, but it’s enjoyable anyway.

>> Thanks alexsdad06 for the share. Pours clear amber red, weaker foam. Nose is Twizzlers, blondie, limoncello. Taste is thin, tart, lemon. Palate is weaker. Wouldn’t peg this as a quad, seems to have soured.
