Bottle thanks to theAlum. Pours a ruddy brown with a thin dissipating head. The nose is barrel, bourbon and vanilla and a hit of berries, cherries specifically. Maybe a bit of booze and Brett? Tartness in nose, along with some cardboard. On tasting, a bit oxidized. Cherries come through again. Thin bodied and really dry. Would appreciate body and a bit more sweetness. Tartness is present as well. Wasn’t a fan of this one. Dogbrick (14309) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2012
Sample at the Hopsnobbery Collective barrel-aged beer tasting on 08/11/2012. The beer is a cloudy dark orange-amber color with a medium thin light tan head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Oaky bourbon, spices and berries in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of cherries, brown sugar, sweet malt and spice. The finish is funky fruits and spices. Solid beer all around. Huhzubendah (3775) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike!
A: The color is moderately dark brown. The beer has a thin head that generates but a wee bit of lacing on the glass.
S: The aroma is huge and powerful. So many scents, including bourbon, alcohol, oak, and malt. Various fruits are in the nose as well, particularly cherries and possibly raspberries and blueberries.
T: The flavor is incredibly complex and bold. Bourbon and oak are the dominant flavors, followed by a blast of berries soaked in alcohol. This is one of the best wheatwines I have yet had.
M: Medium bodied with a strong alcohol presence.
D: A terrific and complex beast of a beer that is probably best enjoyed in small quantities.

Bottle thanks again to Dallas! You rock dude. Pours a cloudy red/brown color with a large beige head. Bottle number 27 out of 150. The aroma is rich sweet fruit and malts with some oak. A very rich flavor, mostly sweet, light bourbon, surprisingly not hot, some wheat, berries, lots going on. Nice.

Medium-bodied, with a sweet, tart, gritty mouthfeel and low carbonation. Juicy and malty, sweet. Interesting beer and fun to drink. UPDATED: APR 6, 2012 22oz bottle thanks to alexsdad06 I believe, thanks Brad, ’11 vintage #63 of 180. Rating #31. Thick and hazy dark brown pour with a nice little tan head. Rich caramel and a little oxidization and some berry in the finish, nice. Picking up a decent amount of berries up front, more cherry than anything with some wood and a little vanilla. Nice stuff. Bomber poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of berries, oak, toffee, carmel, wheat, light bourbon and light yeast. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of berries, oak, vanilla, bourbon, wheat and toffee with a crisp dry lingering berry finish.
