Sample at the bottle sale on 3/2/13. Opaque gold in color with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, peach, lemon and bretty funk. Flavor starts malty with light tropical fruit, then turns to sour lemon juice with a tart, yet very clean finish. Outstanding brew, and probably my favorite of the afternoon (aside from maybe the fresh batch of Oil of Aphrodite). redlem (1306) - Ohio, USA - MAR 12, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2013 This one has a noticeable ability to make your lips pucker, making it one of my favorites. It has the barnyard aroma that those who like it, seek, and a crisp sourness followed by a dryness that gives a unique drinking experience with this style. A very good example. Taster on tap at the brewpub. Clear golden / orange color. Thin white head. Medium body. Smooth, light carbonation. Kind of creamy texture. Lightly dry finish. Nice lace. Light zesty sweet taste. Light spice, less sweet. Yeast, farmhouse spice, light to medium amount of brett, particularly in the finish. Good aftertaste. Little lacto noticeable. Solid saison.
