3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12.7oz capped bottle. Vintage 2014. Shared by beerbeggar. Surprisingly not old or big. It’s not astringent, it’s not "big" or anything bad. But it’s also not particularly anything, a barleywine with a little age but not offputting. Just doesn’t stand out but nothing bad. Dark amber brown color.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big dark brown, soft murkiness and thin soft greyish brown ringed head. Nose is big Sultana bread and booziness. Initial taste is rich oaty bramble and a a trickle of dessert wine. Carbonation is flat and mouthfeel is thin enough, booze aside. Finishes quite bright, very winey but a swift bready currant linger. Flicks of booziness as it fades.
