High Wycombe House Warming. Thanks to Colin. Lightly hazy dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth airy palate, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark chocolate streaked malts, a little malt cream. Nice fruity bourbon. Mild coconut and then more dark chocolate. Airy spicy finish. Very nice.
November 2016 - Bottle share at Theydon’s High Wycombe Tasting. Thanks Cloin! As ’Jackie O’s Cellar Cuvee 10’, bottle #143/400. Very dark brown or black, slight red hue, foamy brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, bounty bar, roast malt and roast coconut, varnish. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is vanilla and dark chocolate, oaky, bounty bar, meaty sweet, breathy booze. HB thanks to Leighton from a bottle thanks to Coleen, shared at the Heron Quay Hobo Tasting, Nov-16. Cheers to the team for this one. It pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet and rich, bold, with notes of chocolate truffle, vanilla, mocha, tart fruits, prunes jam. Taste is also sweet and rich, with bold chocolate and vanilla notes amidst more tart red berries and lightly tangy lemon peel. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, really a great beer. Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The aroma is rich, juicy, big bounty bar and coconut action, roasted malt, juicy, vanilla, toasty, rocky road and some booze. The taste is dry, chewy, rich roasted malt, rocky road, toasted coconut, vanilla, bounty bar, booze and toasted nut with a dry, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Bottle shared at the hi wy cum. Tasting, 5/11/2016. Huge thanks to Colin for this one. A reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a a lasting thin tan head. Aroma is big woody, solvent, bourbon vanilla, shaven coconut, toasted coconut, praline. Flavour is composed of big liquidised bounty bar, coconut, choc, bourbon. Woody tannin oak. Palate is medium full bodied, sticky. Moderate carbonation, velvety.

Bottle shared in High Wycombe - thanks to Cloin. Pours rich black-brown with a foamy, beige head. The nose holds toffee, toasted coconut, a bit of cocoa. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with ample semi-dark malts, burnt wood, toffee, raisins and other dried berries, some alcohol, down bread. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with rich dark sugars, more raisins, coconut, rich bread, chocolate. Reall, really rich. Lots of fun. Pitch black with a xolid tan cap.
Nose is dark chocoalte, dark fruit rinds, spice, cocounut shavings, light charr, earthy fruit rinds.
Taste comprises dark chocolate bounty bar, spice, charr, dark malts, toffee fudge, light coffee grinds, subtle bourbon licks.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good boost level.

Bottle... Pours mostly clear and dark brown with mahogany highlights and a tiny, brief, off-white head. The aroma features sweet, jammy raspberries and roasty dark chocolate. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor offers deeply roasted malts, charcoal and a rumor of acidity with a carbonic, lightly acrid finish. Shared at a tasting hosted by Steve Hackley on September 25. Thanks Steve! This was poured from a 22 oz bottle. The pour is a dark brown/light black with a lighter brown frothy head that fell really slowly, leaving some great lacing behind. The aroma has a ton of bourbon booze in this one. You can certainly tell everything in this cuvée has been aged. There is a lot of roasty malts and a bit of chocolate. You can pick up a little raspberry toward the end, but it’s almost medicinal and forced. The flavor is a little better. There is, again, a ton of booze, but this time there is also a nice chocolate presence that helps thin out the booze. It’s got the raspberry, not as medicinal, and the roast does good things. There is a surprisingly light barrel character in the flavor. The mouth feel is a little thin and there is a decently flat carbonation. I’m surprised by this. The aftertaste is lingering roast, chocolate and booze.
