A sour coffee ale? Alright, I can get into it. Brown, head of mixed bubbles. Lots of coffee, lots of sour in the nose. This is a big beer and there is a big load of coconut to compliment the chocolate and coffee flavors. Tart and a bit sweet. Really good beer and unique. Nice work, Jackie-O.

22oz bottle... Pours a semi thn and oily close to black pour with thinner brown edges... Aroma huge on sour roasted coffee and chocolate... Sweet upfront with coffee and roast and finishes on an odd sour note. Somewhat odd combination.

From DC Local tasting. Pours super deep ruby. Giant coffee and roasty nose. Taste is coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate along with some hints of bourbon, oak, vanilla, black cherries.

Tried at paytoplay’s house. Bottle brought by hophead84. Thanks! Wow that smells great. Like a malted milk ball. Small amount of ash, but it’s actually quite nice. Lightly sweet.

22oz bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Darkest Cuvee I’ve ever seen in my life. Pours a watery, opaque black with a thin, spitty, slightly beige head. Aroma is HUGE on coffee, a little creamy smelling, nutty, toasted bread. Flavor is sweet, like sweet Dunkin Donuts coffee with cream and sugar, vanilla, wood, nuts, toast. Finish is slightly sweet but otherwise smooth. I liked this better than Goose Island Bourbon County Stout which we had nearly side by side. The creaminess and the sweet, coffee flavors were really nice.

Well, that is a lot of coffee. Sweet, sweet, sweet mocha coffee.. and more coffee, with some coffee. Probably some chocolate underneath the coffee, but can’t really tell with all the coffee.

Bottle at Hophead22s tasting. Pours a cola brown color with a light tan head. Aroma is earthy with some espresso and cinnamon. Flavor is like some tart coffee and cinnamon. A real WTF beer. Full bodied with low carbonation.

bottle from hophead84. Weird with a capital W. Pours brown with a tan ring. Nose is sweet cinammon and choco. Taste is sweet muddled, like a holiday mess.

Had on tap at Jackie O’s Anniversary Party. Side by side with Cuvee 1. Flavors of cinnamon and coffee were present but the bourbon was over done on this one. Not exactly what I hoped for.

Rating #5 (bottle # 95 of 156). Bottle at Hophead22 tasting. Aroma was espresso and pure cinnamon spice. Taste was tart like sour black coffee. Poured dark brown. Very interesting beer. I liked the aroma better than the taste.
