Suprise of our tasting for me. This one I wasn’t sure what to expect. Nose is strong on Woody Raspberry and Bourbon notes. The first sip though completely caught me off guard. Very reminiscent of Angel’s Share with its huge thick chocolate cake mouthfeel. Massive notes of wood and raspberry up front and a huge creamy vanilla body. Finishes with heavy caramel and port like cherry cake notes. I dunno what strong ale was used in this blend but I’d be really interested to try it. This is one of the best if not the best beers I have had from Jackie O’s. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2011
The beer pours somewhat clear amber with a very small off white head. The aroma is pretty hot almost whisky to overtake everything, with light berry notes. The flavor is hot but palatable barrel booze notes with a delicious portion of raspberry to settle well on the palate.. BigSound (196) - New York, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Pours hazy gold with a very thin and short lasting off-white head. The aroma is tart raspberry, with notes of vanilla and sweet bourbon, just a tiny bit of booze in there as well. Great flavors here, tart raspberry, caramel, raisin, and a little booze on the finish. The body is thin with very light carbonation, I don’t know if this was intended but it works. Very tasty, complex and equally and equally refreshing. JaBier (8156) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 20, 2010
Sampled at Jackie O’s Experimental Beer Fest on 11/6/10. Brown pour with a thin tan head. Caramel malt nose with bourbon, tart berries and a bit of chocolate. Flavor starts off with caramel, then becomes tart berries and booze with a sour finish. Pretty solid. Dogbrick (13536) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 22, 2010
On draught at the brewpub, served in a snifter. The beer is a murky reddish-brown color with a thin light beige head that diminishes to an outer ring quickly. Short strings of lacing. Sour fruity aroma with some malty notes. Medium body with a moderately sour character and flavors of tart fruit, malt and oak. The finish is tart with a lingering berry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bottle. Pours murky brown. Nose and taste of semi tart raspberry, oak, chocolate, crunchy butterscotch toffee and caramel. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 16, 2011
Courtesy of markwise. It pours amber with copper hues and thin white head. The full aroma doesn’t hesitate to cough up loads of berriness followed by firm earthiness, some funk, tartness, some bratwurst, spicy hops and floral hops. The taste begins sweet with bourbon and a light amount of vanilla mixing with cherries, raspberries and then more berries. This comes across as bright, slightly tart and refreshing. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 24, 2011
22oz bottle. Pours red orange with a slight white head. Nose is bourbon, vanilla, wood, raspberries, and heat. Flavor is booze, bourbon, wood/ barrel, and vanilla all over with raspberries filling in the gap. Medium body with mellow booze all over the place. Sweet and very nice. alexsdad06 (10640) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 17, 2011
Draft @ Jackie O’s. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a small off white head. The nose is a play on the moderately sweet malts and the tart raspberries. The flavor is moderately sweet malt, moderately tart raspberry and oak. I think the oak softens everything. This was a nice beer and I look forward to trying it in the future from the bottle. pineypower (3347) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - JUN 9, 2011
Bottle at RBSG. Pours out an odd amber color with no real head. Aroma is of bourbon, raspberry and some oak. Taste is raspberry, light chocolate, oak, vanilla and some slight roasty notes in there also. Very solid, like the combo.
