Bomber from ericandersnavy. Pours brown/black with a creamy tan head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, oak. Full bodied. Flavor is lightly sour, vinous, bourbon, dark fruit, coffee and chocolate and oak astringency. Very nice. Very complex. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 28, 2012
Dark brown pour. Small light brown head. Aroma of figs, dates, tart booze, prunes. Flavor is fruity, oaky, lightly tart, prunes. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 1, 2012
Courtesy of Craig. It pours mahogany with thin mocha head. The aroma offers up chocolate brownie, baker’s chocolate, some booziness and dark roasted malts mixing with some coffee notes. The taste has yummy dark chocolate, milk chocolate, dark roasted maltiness and some bourbon. Midway and into the finish it picks up an additional note in the form of vanilla. Yummy! Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured dark brown with a moderate frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt, wood with a complex alcohol aroma. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy bourbon, woody and malt sweet flavor with a heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a solid complex beer. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Thanks to goryshkewych for the hookup. Cheers, George! Pours a medium stout brown with a tan head. Nose is whiskey, chocolate, spice, burn, and some vanilla as it warms with subtle brandy notes trying to emerge but being forced back by the whiskey heat. Flavor is chocolate and fudge up front, light booze with some subtle brandy in the mid, and some boozy whiskey in the finish. Light to medium in body considering the beers involved here. Somewhat boozy, but I am curious how it will age.

Appearance: Pours root beer brown with a sparse film of swirls.XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Aroma: Cola, chocolate, peppermint patties. Graham cracker.
Taste: Roasted malt, burnt roast, vanilla, whiskey/sweet liquor.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall: Tasty, but a bit all over the place. I would drink this now if you have a bottle or two.
Big time coffee chocolate aromas with a bit of tart cherry. Taste is like a really nice chocolate red wine flavor, where does the sour come from?

Really interesting brew. Obviously, this has been infected (I assume unintentionally). Pours a black hue with a medium brown head. A nose of sweet grapes big brandy and roast. A tart dark cherry flavor, big brandy, oak, grapes, roast and light chocolates, no bourbon. Good. Complex. GMCC2181 (1610) - Newark, Delaware, USA - DEC 4, 2011
Bottle from beace... Black in color, decent head. Aroma of alcohol and bourbon. Kind of offensive... But luckily the taste doesnt follow the nose... Taste is a lot more mellow... Bourbon notes, vanilla, oak, malty, chunky oatmeal... all blended well together. The alcohol isnt noticable for being a 9 percenter with a big nose. Medium creamy body, very easy to drink. Overall unique and tasty... Thanks Brad! Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2011
This poured a murky dark brown color with a small lacking head. Aroma was lots of bourbon and brandy, some chocolate notes too. Flavor is herbal, light lactic notes, some chocolate and roast nad some booze. Interesting.
