Bottle... Pours murky and dark brown (nearly black) with no head. The aroma is a swirl of black cherries, vanilla and caramel. Full-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor is tart and fruity. Any toastiness there may have once been here is now gone - just clean acidity and sour cherry fruitiness. Finishes tart and minerally. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Old rating from a sample at a bottle sale a while back. Tried multiple batches of the Cab version before this one, so I was glad to try it and pick out differences. Darkest brown pour with minimal head. Aroma of sour cherries, chocolate, a little bit of funky sourness and roast. Tart cherry flavor right up front with some chocolate and roast before a tart finish. In comparison with the Cab version, the chocolate and roast come through a bit more due to a more muted sourness, but very similar overall.

Brown color/ fleeting head. Bourbon vanilla, tart fruit, wet wood aromas. medium body with light carbonation. Decent vanilla, dry chocolate, mildly tart cherry flavors.
