Draft to taster at cappy’s pour mahogany cola brown with thin ecru head. Nose light roasted malt, nut, and trace coconut. Taste sweeter malt up front, then nice coconut, nut, milk chocolate, and almost vanilla. Pleasing almond joy finish. The nose wasn’t much but the flavors really come out alexsdad06 (10803) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAY 23, 2016
Draft to taster at BC’s Bottle Lodge. Pours a caramel brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted coconut and cocoa nibs over the base beer and it blends seamlessly, mild roasted malt, toasted grains, honey, an enhanced nutty character, some sweetness, some tobacco, also some earthy character, a touch of dark chocolate, I like this variant better than the base. Sample and then a pint at the brewpub on 5/23/15. Brown pour with no head. Aroma of malt, caramel and nuts along with slight coconut and chocolate. Malty and caramelly flavor with coconut, almond and chocolate accents before a nutty and bitter roasty finish. Definitely a beer you want to let warm up before you drink it; coconut and chocolate become much more pronounced. Very tasty stuff.

Sample from growler. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes gradually to a wispy film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and chocolate. Medium-bodied with flavors of roast nuts, chocolate malt and subtle coconut. The finish is roasty with a chocolate and coconut aftertaste. Enjoyable all around. 16oz on tap at Jackie-Os, then a half-growler later shared with b3shine. Dark brown color, clear around the edges. Loose splotches of lace. Light tan head. Nice cocoa nibs, milk chocolate, coconut flavors. Very nutty, almondy taste. Medium - plus body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Nice and crisp. Some light roast malt, coffee in the finish. Light sweet taste, nice moderate bitterness. Delicious and easy to drink. Great Chomo. b3shine (9143) - Indiana, USA - MAY 23, 2013
Super-fresh growler to snifter (thanks DrSilverworm). Looks good; a hazy brown with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; just as the deacription suggests. Toasted coconut and almonds with a good nut brown backbone. Nice on the palate. Good beer.
