Aroma is light, creamy coffee and chocolate. Color is deep brown, flat. Flavor is very sweet, milky, vanilla, peeps. Espresso merangitos sweet, creamy, good. arkurzynski (2415) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - APR 4, 2012
Bottle thanks to goryshkewych. Pours a heavy black with a thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of pillowy vanilla/bourbon, wood, sugary brown sugar/molasses, a small tinge of dark fruit, and a hint of roasted malt. Coffee nose is pretty well gone or overpowered. Flavor is dark fruit, coconut, small amounts of brown sugar, light bourbon, and a trail of roasted malt. Acidity hits pretty quickly and is semi-harsh. Covers the complexity of the individual components. Residual acidity, roast, and vanilla sweetness. Good, but choppy. douglas88 (9059) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 21, 2012
12 ounce bottle thanks to George. Pours a pure black color with a medium, though quickly small brown head. A strong coffee and woody nose. The flavor is rich barrel, some earthiness, coffee, milkiness, sweet beans and vanilla. Quite easygoing and tasty. Much more mellow that the Figgie Smalls. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 22, 2011
bottle... dark brown almost black, dark tan head, leaves a light ring... the aroma is burnt melted chocolate, a bit of vanilla, and lots of bourbon on the finis, this is good in doses but not something I want to keep coming back to... the taste is tons of vanilla bean, too much for my liking, a bit of burnt note, a bit harsh, coffee doesn’t really come through as much, a lot of bourbon... I like the components individually but they don’t all pull together totally in this pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 8, 2011
Nano beans. 12oz bottle consumed on-site at the ba kopi release party.. Pours similar to the rest... Flavors are deep thick semi-
bittersweet chocolate, sweeter through the middle with vanilla, bourbon
and a light roastiness. Smooth medium full bodied and a fair amount of
heat on the backend. Tasty smooth in a very barrel forward way. Much
more of what I was expecting as compared to the beans.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, vanilla and wood aroma. Heavy sweet roasted black coffee flavor with a heavy sweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.

A: The beer pours almost black in color with a finger of khaki head.
S: This beer REEKS of vanilla, and I like it. Smells like sticking your nose in a bottle of vanilla extract. Some bourbon and chocolate, maybe a bit of roast. But mostly vanilla.
T: The same story on the tongue. Intense vanilla flavor and sweetness to this beer. Some sweet and smooth chocolate and bourbon, but the vanilla quickly overrides that.
M: Medium in body, smooth carbonation.
O: This was a great beer if you love vanilla. I like it a lot, but after awhile, it became a little too much for me to handle. nickd717 (4645) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 24, 2011
Oh Jackie O’s, what are they doing? I can never tell. I assume this is called "nano" because it’s rare. Yea rarity... Thanks to popery for this great tick though anyway. Dark brown in color with a small tan head. Great coffee, roast, and vanilla aroma. The flavor is also very nice too - something that made a high-volume ticker like myself stop and appreciate it. All the big players are there in nice proportions: coffee, roast, chocolate, vanilla, and oak. I’m liking it. Medium-plus-bodied and rather silky smooth on the mouthfeel. A solid brewski from a brewery that comes out with great stuff on occasion. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - JUN 7, 2011
bottle courtesy of george o, thank you so much for this rarity! very tasty brew. the aroma, the taste, everything about it is delicious and intoxicating. pours black with a small brown head, granted i poured it easy since i know that most ba jackie o’s have lower carbonation levels, but there is by no means a lack of it. the taste and aroma are huge on the vanilla, chocolate and bourbon taking up the rear. its a lil hot in the mouth, and very slightly cloying, but i found that the roasty bitterness of the base beer balanced it well in the mid and back palate. leaves a very thick and oily mouthfeel, vanilla taste coming through for several minutes afterwards making you wish you had another sip. very nice inmy eyes, myself and the non beer geeks i drank it with truly enjoyed the facemelting flavors of this one. thetomG (246) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 6, 2011
Shared this one tonight with AgentZero & MasterSki... thanks guys!
Pretty typical deep brown color - not much head and little lacing.
Very strong bourbon/barrel aroma - flavor is more barrel with a bit of vanilla and some great chocolate and coffee flavors coming on strong in the finish.
Excellent & smooth mouthfeel with a bit of lingering heat from the alcohol.
GREAT beer - so glad I got to sample this one... more please!
