Bouteille partagée avec Marwise. Huge thanks for sharing this one.
Love this beer, the base beer is awesome and the treatments have been amazing. Bourbon, vanilla, coffee, chocolate galore! markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 7, 2011
Thanks to a friend for getting this one from Jackie’s for me. Pours dark imp stout brown with a small tan head. Nose is roast, chocolate, vanilla, big coffee, booze, rum, and hint of coffee bitterness. Flavor is similar with the chocolate, vanilla, and coffee coming out huge in this one. Only bitterness in this one is from the coffee beans. Pleasant vanilla/ coffee finish, complemented by the barrel. Very enjoyable medium-bodied beer. jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 27, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2012 Bottle at brewpub. Pours black. Nose and taste of very rich coffee beans, bourbon, chocolate, oak and vanilla. Rich and smooth. One of the better Dark Apparition treatments. thetomG (246) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 6, 2011
Shared this one tonight with AgentZero & MasterSki... thanks guys!
Pretty typical deep brown color - not much head and little lacing.
Very strong bourbon/barrel aroma - flavor is more barrel with a bit of vanilla and some great chocolate and coffee flavors coming on strong in the finish.
Excellent & smooth mouthfeel with a bit of lingering heat from the alcohol.
GREAT beer - so glad I got to sample this one... more please!

bottle courtesy of george o, thank you so much for this rarity! very tasty brew. the aroma, the taste, everything about it is delicious and intoxicating. pours black with a small brown head, granted i poured it easy since i know that most ba jackie o’s have lower carbonation levels, but there is by no means a lack of it. the taste and aroma are huge on the vanilla, chocolate and bourbon taking up the rear. its a lil hot in the mouth, and very slightly cloying, but i found that the roasty bitterness of the base beer balanced it well in the mid and back palate. leaves a very thick and oily mouthfeel, vanilla taste coming through for several minutes afterwards making you wish you had another sip. very nice inmy eyes, myself and the non beer geeks i drank it with truly enjoyed the facemelting flavors of this one. bluejacket74 (1991) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - NOV 29, 2013
12 ounce bottle, got this from Brad on a trip to Jackie O’s quite a while ago, thanks! I’d guess this is a 2011/2012 vintage? It’s been in the fridge for a while, might as well drink it tonight! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma is great, the brew smells like milk and bittersweet chocolate, caramel, vanilla and some dark fruit. It tastes like roasted malt, milk and bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, caramel, dark fruit (cherries) and some coffee. It’s a mostly sweet tasting brew, very nice. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. I liked this a lot, it certainly aged well! Never turn down a Jackie O’s brew, I haven’t had a bad one yet. Big thanks to markwise for the share. This is my 16th Jackie-Os all thanks to Mark. Pours deep darkness with weak head. The aroma is dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee, a mild level of vanilla, molasses, chocolate and a sense of chili peppers. The taste has rich roasted coffee and dark roasted maltiness heading quickly into sweeter notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate and molasses. By about midway dark roasted coffee comes surging back to the surface. Yummy. 50belair (3617) - Florida, USA - APR 4, 2011
Bottle provided by darkguardian. Black pour. The incredible nose reminds me of CoCo Puffs. The body is a little thin, but the taste is very good with vanilla bean, coffee, oak, and chocolate flavors.. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Tasted on 4/28/12 with the Nashville and Knoxville crews at Curtis’ old house, big thanks to JR for bringing this one. Pours nearly black dark brown with no head but a few brown bubbles. The nose is malted milk, dark chocolate syrup, plenty of coffee, but this one is really dominated by pure vanilla bean. The flavor is sweet with all of the coffee, dark chocolate syrup, and vanilla bean from the nose with an added marshmallow note. The body is full with light carbonation and a long dark chocolate syrup, vanilla bean, and marshmallow finish.
