UPDATED: AUG 28, 2015 12oz bottle shared by alexsdad06. Very dark brown color. Minimal head or lace. Big roasty bitter and dark chocolate in the nose, a little heat. Roastiness, coffee. More heat in the finish on this one vs the quetz I just sampled, but it’s nice. Light tartness, moderate bitter taste, some sweetness. Good, enjoyable heat in the finish. Bigger body. Nice chewy bigger body. Crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, light sweet. Light tart not in a way that hurts the beer at all, kind of works well with the orange. Big long roasty bitter chocolate aftertaste, which I really enjoy. Good stuff! Very awesome aftertaste. alexsdad06 (10821) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - SEP 28, 2013
12 oz. bottle shared with the group around a year ago (again 9/28/13). Pours a dark brown to black color with very little head. The aroma and flavor have the roasted malts, dark fruits, chocolate with some orange zest. Not fruity orange, but the dry herbal/spicy type orange. The bottle today had a slight tart character that seemed to come more from the orange than infection. My original rating had this at 3.8, but I will adjust based on today. b3shine (9150) - Indiana, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Bottle to taster (shared by alexsdad06). Looks solid; a dark cola with next to no carbonation and razor-thin beige lacing. Smells of dark malt and orange zest with a light whiskey barrel presence. Tastes like it smells with a solid (albeit borderline sour) mouthfeel. Not sure if it’s infected or it’s just the orange presence, but it’s decent either way. shigadeyo (3790) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 2, 2013

7/28/2011: Jackie O’s Nano Oranj (Dark Apperition with Orange aged in a barrel)... Aroma: Semi-sweet chocolate along with the weakest hint of orange peel; vanilla and a bit of bourbon. Appearance: Near black, completely opaque; no crown/head. Flavor: Vanilla, plum, some red grape (and associated dryness), raisin; good tobacco, along with some tobacco; very nice overall. Palate: Medium-light; smooth, but too thin. Overall: Very good - I like, but I don’t really get any orange; just doesn’t stand up following the GI Rare BCS!
12 fl. oz. bottle shared by alexsdad06. Thanks again, Brad! Rating #14 for this beer.
12 oz. bottle from alexsdad06- thanks again, Brad! Pours a deep brown color with amber highlights on the edges and a small amount of bubbles for the head. Aroma of brown sugar, chocolate, soy, dark fruits, and bourbon. The flavor steps up the fruitiness and the orange peel is even more apparent. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a sweet, juicy, smooth mouthfeel. I thought this was fine but not great; others in the group hated it.

Probably way past its prime so Im giving it some benefit of the doubt. Received a hand bottle as an extra in a trade. Heavy syrupy mollasses with bakers chocolate, orange, and straight syrupy sweetness. Cloying oily and flat but I can see what the beer was meant to be and may have one day been so I wont shit on it too bad. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAY 5, 2012
If this was carbonated it would be good. Tons of chocolate thick molasses and oranges. Some whisky and sour notes deyholla (12307) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2012
Bottle thanks to George. Pours a flat black with no head whatsoever. Aroma is full of orange peel, roasted malts and dark chocolate with a bit of backing whiskey. Flavor is similar with a nice combination of roasted malts, dark chocolate, whiskey and a nice citrus/orange peel note. douglas88 (9632) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 21, 2012
12 ounce bottle thanks to George. Pours a totally black hue with a small brown head. A sweet strong orange and dark fruit nose. The flavor is very interesting; sweet vanilla and whiskey, very easygoing, some rich oranges and chocolates, reminds me of a orange chocolate bar, Cadburry, quite nice. 12oz bottle from George. Rating #8. Thick and viscous dark black pour with a very small head. Powerful dark fruit aroma, a bit of a balsamic thing going on, but just the sweet part of it, nothing sour. Slight sour bite, more of an orange bite, but it’s there. The other flavors come through in the aftertaste, a bit of sweetened soy sauce with a mild finish. Interesting treatment. (2002)
