Tap sample. Poured dark reddish brown color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt sweet aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout brew that exceeded my expectations. JaBier (8027) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Sample at the Jackie O’s pub (Brewery side) on 8/16/13. Black pour with a thick light brown nitro head. Aroma of chocolate, malt and some roast. Chocolate brownie flavor with a bitter, roasty finish. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Taster on tap at Jackie-Os. Dark brown color. Thin light brown head. Good spread of thicker lace. Smooth, crisp bigger body, kind of chewy lighter cabronation. Awesome huge bitter bigger dark chocolate aroma. Some roasted coffee. Dark chocolate. Huge dark chocolate, big, bitter roasty dark cocoa nibs. Some dark chocolate syrup. Bigger sweet taste, moderate bitter. Awesome, massive chocolate beer. Super rich, decadent chocolatey aroma. A chocolate show case. Super chocolate. phaleslu (10325) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Nitro sample from the brewpub side. Pours a deep, opaque brown with a small beige head. Initially creamy nose. Notes of milk and dark chocolate, roasted malts, and earth. Fairly straightforward. Just chocolaty. Medium-full bodied, with a roasty mouthfeel that is almost bitter. Moderate carbonation. Very good, but the regular Sweet Chocolate Love is my preference of the two.
