Bottle... Pours hazy and amber with copper highlights and a fleeting, fizzy, white head. The aroma offers a blend of caramel, buttery toffee, sour cherries and grape Kool-Aid with a light splash of acetic red wine vinegar. Medium to full-bodied with zingy carbonation. The flavor is a mishmash of malty, fruity, sour and bitter notes. Tartness and plenty of crusty bitterness in the finish. Bottle thanks to alexsdad06. Pours a medium copper color with a bt of haze and a finger of foam. Lots of tart tannic apple in the nose, cider, musty oak, yogurt, long flavors... seems more boozy than is listed, would have guessed closer to 8%. Round mouthfeel mid palate that gets drawn out into a sour apple, citrus pith and vanilla soaked oak... interesting beer.

Sample from bottle #220 shared by a friend. The beer is a clear reddish-orange color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart apples, spice and malt. Light-bodied with a moderately tart apple flavor along with notes of sweet malt and oak. The finish is mildly sour with a lingering spiced tart apple aftertaste. Staff Bottle. Poured a clear orange copper color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy tart fruit and funk aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet & sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour & sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout complex brew.
