Sample at brews, pours hazy gold with a bubbly white head, aroma is mostly lemon and yeast, I can get hints of the funk. Taste was pretty simple, yeast, lemon zest, a bit grassy and earthy, thin body, not too bad. Sheerbrewing (117) - Athens-Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Draft from pub side. Pouts a clear pale straw with thin white head. Aroma is clean pale malt light citrus hops and some lemon zest. Flavor is similar to aroma there is lots of pale malt character with some hop to cut it but there is some interesting spice to this brew and definitely lemon notes. Overall this is a nice light bodied low abv brew with some cool flavors going on. theisti (4157) - Kansas, USA - SEP 5, 2012
Approximately 4 ounce sample at the Jackie O’s Public House in Athens, Ohio. The pour is clear golden with a white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles line the glass. The aroma is grain, lemon zest and a vegetal earthiness. The taste is the vegetal, the lemon peel and zest, and then a fairly muddled yeastiness. The palate is medium bodied with a lower carbonation level and a lingering herbal yeast. Tmoney99 (14755) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Draft sample. Poured hazy yellow color with an average off-white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate lemon citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium lemon oil flavor with a medium lemon finish of moderate duration. Interesting drinkable brew.

From a growler, thanks to grownfool (and photokut). Pours gold, bubbly, moderate loose head. Smells lemony, and herbal, with a touch of cardboard. Taste is...I’m gonna be honest, I’m not 100% sure I know what verbena tastes like, but there is a weird, woody/herbal notes in this, mixed with lemon. Is that it? Anyway, a bit odd, but tasty.

On tap at Jackie O’s. Served in a sampler glass, and followed up with a few pints out of the growler we took back to the campground. Pours a clear golden color with a fluffy white head and plenty of lacing. The nose carries hints of pepper alongside fresh zest and a bit of an herbal character. Lemon is nice, and leads the way into a very crisp and clean body. Smooth bitterness and dry herbal character. Super refreshing and easy to drink. The whole growler was gone before we knew it. alexsdad06 (10583) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - APR 15, 2012
Draft @ Jackie O’s. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head that disappears rather quickly. The aroma has some doughy malt, mild to moderate lemony citrus, herbal with a light funky quality. The flavor ha doughy malt, mild sweetness, lemon citrus and herbal notes. An easy drinking golden ale with a twist; a true session type beer. JStax (6995) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Poured on draft. Appearance is a light gold with a crisp white head of foam. Aroma is sweet and fruity. The lemon doesn’t really come through like I thought it would, but the fruitiness does shine. I get a bit of zest in the taste, but other than that, this beer is just a nice, sweet, golden ale. Great beer for just sitting on the porch drinking a few beers, but what beer isn’t good for that? Maybe I’m too easy to please. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2011
Very hazy light yellow color, thin white head. Little lace. Very interesting and unique spice aroma that I don’t recognize, definitely funky. Kind of like the fresh lemon scent you would expect from a cleaning product, but not in a bad way. Very unique, and powerful in the nose. Stronger, but crisp carbonation, very drinkable, lighter body. Light sweet taste, some spice. Really good flavor for a session ale. JaBier (8112) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 10, 2010
On tap at Bodega. Clear gold pour with a thin white head. Funky aroma with sweet malt, lemon and a bit of a spicy character, almost like ginger but not quite. Flavor is malty, citrusy and a bit funky with that same almost ginger character before a bitter finish.
