Sample @ EBF.

Appearance: Slightly hazy pale hay color with a small bubbly white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Nice herbal brettanomyces, hay, apricots, lemon and a bit of citrusy hops.

Taste: Herbal and a bit leathery brettanomyces, a good but subtle malt backbone, apricots, hay and light bitterness. Moderate sourness.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Dry brettanomyces finish. Moderately lasting herbal presence.

Overall: Good american wild ale with not too much sourness and a really good drinkability. Nice brettanomyces features. Tasty.

Can it be? My first #paw paw tick? So pumped. Sample at EBF. Clear gold pour with rich foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, really nice citrus, lemon-lime, hard to define, nice citrusy aroma, light vanilla, grainy. Taste is tart with very clear cut lemon zest, very zesty almost bitter zestiness. Palate is med bodied, med-light carbonation. Tasty stuff.

Bottle thanks to Peter! A lot of horse and barn up front with a bright paw paw fruitiness. As it warms some more lemon and city’s come out, I’m guessing from the hops. A very nice blend if fruit and funk. Slightly dry. Less fruit forward than the American wheat paw paw but still awesome.
