Sample at Jackie O’s as part of Ohio Brew Week. The beer pours a clear pale orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Grapefruit, hops and malt in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of zesty citrus, herbal hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering grapefruit juice aftertaste. Pretty good overall. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 26, 2013
On tap during Ohio Brew Week 2013, taster from Jackie-O’s brewpub. Mildly hazy orange - amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, full thicker lace. Very nice huge red grapefruit aroma to it. Tastes more like a grapefruit fruit beer than IPA at this point, but grapefruits are tasty, so that’s OK. Bigger body. Lighter carbonation. More dry finish, kind of crisp. Light bitter... Very, very zesty taste. Maybe the zestiest beer I’ve ever had? I like zest, fortunately. Some pine. Nice, super grapefruity fruit beer. JStax (6501) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Draft. Pours a translucent copper with a white head. Aroma is fruity and and citrusy. Big zest coming through. Fruity and refreshing.
