12 ounce can at home. Canned on 12-21-16 and has centennial on the bottom of the can. Thick off white head. Smell the hops somewhat not overwhelming. Nice taste. Kind of sweet with some hop flavor. Very smooth with little after bite. Overall this is a really nice Indian Pale Ale. Very impressed for the style.

Draft at Jackie o’s from notes. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have dank, resiny, earthy and herbal hops, pale toasted malts, citrus, solid very drinkable imperial IPA with good bitterness to the finish.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/21/2016. Pours hazy deep golden/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, a small warmth lingers after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding DIPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Very juicy feeling on hop/yeast notes; hefty on malt, but not overly sweet. A highly enjoyable offering.

Can. Resinous aromas and a kind of punchy edge to the whole thing. Lots of pine and not quite enough malt and complexity to balance it out... It’s very lovely, but I’m more enamored with other DIPA’s that have some profile.

Pours a golden amber with a defined, sticky, and fluffy foam head. The aroma is of sweet malted grains, citrus lemon hop scent, and it is rather floral. Tasting, moderate sugar intensity and a clean sharp but pleasant bitterness. The body is done nicely and the finish is very enjoyable. Overall a good base IPA and Jackie Os did exactly what they set out to do with their single hopped ale. It was an easy and drinkable brew and worth trying.

Draft at the Taproom the weekend of the 11th anniversary party. As of January 2017, this is the third entry in the canned Mandala series. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and some trailing film. It’s more bitter than I remember other Mandalas being, with pineapple, citrus peel, grass, sweet malts, and resin. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter, sweet, slightly boozy mouthfeel. Good entry into the series, but not the best.

On draught at the production facility during Jackie O’s 11th Anniversary Extravaganza on 01/06/2017. The beer pours a clear orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Piney hops, citrus and malt aroma. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, lemon and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hops aftertaste. Not my favorite of the series, but still pretty good.

mambossa (338) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - DEC 28, 2016
From can, dated 12-22-16. Bright sunny gold pour. Nose starts off with tart grapefruit, candied sugary rind, a very perfume-like floral intensity, lemon skin, young green banana, some twinkling rich spruce and sweet earthiness. The first sip is pine-driven, encompassing a flower-laden pastel citrus, with some spiciness for good measure. Mouthfeel is very appropriate and medium-minus. Linger is floral and has a rindy citrus twang. Further proof that Centennial truly is "Cascade on steroids".

Draft pour at the source. Pours a clear gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has crackers, pine, herbs, citrus. Tastes mildly bitter with a nice sweetness to it. Big body and medium carbonation. Another solid Mandala varietal.
