Poured on draft. Pours a darker copper with a crisp white head of foam. Aroma is dank pine on top of a sweet malt profile hiding in the background. Nicely bitter and well balanced. Another nice mandala. superspak (6000) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUL 27, 2017
12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 4/10/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden, a mild warmth lingers after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding DIPA! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, and modestly bitter/drying finish. Very juicy feeling on hop/yeast notes; hefty on malt, but not overly sweet. A highly enjoyable offering. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 21, 2013
On tap at Dutch’s... Multiple servings throughout the weekend... Mostly hazy orange amber color. Thin white head, leaves good rows of even lace. Very bitter taste. Every one of the 130 IBUs are in full force here, this is a true palate wrecker. Incredibly assertive, bitter, and hoppy. Bigger body. Lighter carbonation. Dry in the finish. Super, super dank hop aroma. Pine, resin, some citrus. Like what I’d expect chewing on a hop cone to taste like. A hop burn that lasts long into the aftertaste, continuously buzzing pleasantly on the palate long after each sip. 2 pounds of hop per each half-barrel keg is a wonderful mental image, and that’s easy to see in the taste. Awesome, powerfully hoppy DIPA alexsdad06 (10784) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - APR 28, 2013
Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is dank and earthy hops with hints of citrus and resin and a toasted malt backbone that is mostly hidden. The hops are quite assertive; dank resiny hops with quite a bit of earthy hops as well. Some caramel and toasted malts come through. There is a lasting bitterness long through the finish. This was very tasty and a real treat to get in Cincinnati. Dogbrick (13751) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2013
On draught at Daily Growler. The beer pours a hazy orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and toasted malt. The finish is dry and moderately bitter with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Well-executed Columbus showcase beer.

Hazy honey color with a smallish white head. Strong aroma of pine and grapefruit. Good bitterness, lasting finish, and the alcohol is not noticeable. One of the few DIPA’s that I liked and did not give off any acetate aromas. b3shine (9138) - Indiana, USA - APR 21, 2013
Draft to snifter at Dutch’s. Looks good; a semi-transparent deep orange with fluffy off-white head. Smells good too; Columbus hops with a sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, super-hoppy mouthfeel. A great single-hopped beer! Tmoney99 (14952) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 24, 2013
Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average off-white frothy head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy earthy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. Standout brew. mikesaum (712) - Newark, Ohio, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Draft at brews, pours a hazy orange with nice white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is great with tons of pineapple and mango and dank pine with a balancing sweet malt. Taste is lots of pineapple , bitter gr, apefruit peel, sweet caramel, this is great.
