3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On Draught at Matt the Miller’s tavern in Grandview. This brew is an interesting lemon yellow very hazy brew. Nose is very sharp with hops that are reminiscent of fresh cut grass and crisp citrus goodness. Body is a bit lively but goes down very easily. Finish is good crisp bitters that linger. A very refreshing APA. Nice spring-summer brew.
Can from VE. Pour is clear, bright orange with good (anxious) carbonation and a large, rocky eggshell head. Nose dough and caramel, orange peel, touch of grapefruit, rind. Taste medium-bitter and only half-sweet (or even dry) with light rubbery astringency. Earth, caramel and dough as before, touch of pine. Dash of spice but not much resin at all, does cleanse the palate extremely well, though. Missing all sorts of hoppy hallmarks (like citrus) and ultimately a disappointment. Drinkable, sessionable, and gripping. Love the floral titillation maintained throughout. An earthy, poetical vegetation. Daisies, sunflower seeds, pine tea, artichoke hearts, and a touch of dried orange. Schwarzbart (300) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Earthy hops with grapefruit and orange peel bitterness along with some grassiness. Medium-light body and crisp. Also some perfume notes.

Can at home. Thanks Jeff! Copper pour, white head. Aroma is floral, dank pine with citrus fruitiness. Smells amazing for a session. Whoa. Taste is spicy pine, dank, straight up pine needles. Very floral hop bomb. Faintly fruity, high bitterness. Light body, high carbonation. So much flavor in this. Hands down the best Session IPA I’ve had to date. Tap @ Bodega - Columbus: Clear gold with a foamy white head. Green hop aroma with a black pepper hop flavor. Well done!

Piney, definitely a session, quite light palate. Not much malt balance. It’s decent, but certainly not one I need to try again. Shot (573) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JUN 24, 2016
On tap. Golden with a thin head that dissipates to a ring. No noticeable cling. Aroma of piney hops. Sweet malt, slight stone fruit qualities, resiny hops, grassy tones and bready notes. Medium carbonation. Somewhat watery mouthfeel. Not bad. superspak (6228) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUN 18, 2016
UPDATED: JUN 23, 2016 12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 3/2/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, apricot, citrus rind, pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, apricot, citrus rind, pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very good session IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering. crossovert (14133) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 5, 2016
355ml can. Plae gold pour, white head. Resinous herbal aroma, smells pretty fresh. Flavor is dry and crackery with some citurs and herbal notes, basic but crushable, nice stuff. nimbleprop (8949) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 15, 2016
12oz can pours a clear gold with frothy, white head. Nose is just OK, some lemon, some pepper, yeast, biscuit, some odd soap. Flavor is OK, some lemon and soap, a little guava, some grist. Something is a bit off. Finishes watery too.
