Originally had on draft fresh rating from notes. Pours a slightly hazy caramel orange color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big grapefruit citrus, orange, some resiny hops, caramel malt, moderate bitterness, this still held up well in the flip top growler for over a year. phaleslu (10246) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 27, 2014
Half growler shared by alexsdad06 at Aloft after the Grand Tasting- thanks, Brad, but why, why, why do you get Jackie-O’s growlers filled and let them rot in the back of your fridge for months or even years? Sheesh. Pours a cloudy orange with a small ring for a head. Notes of orange citrus, caramel, resin, marmalade. Medium-bodied, with an old, malty, sweet mouthfeel and minimal carbonation. Better fresh, I’m sure. deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 16, 2014
Growler at 2014 RBWG, thanks! Pours a hazy peachy gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of resin and pine with caramel and earthy sweet grains backing. Flavor has more resin and pine with just a touch of caramel and sweet grains. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 10, 2014

Growler from 2012 @ Hotel Room Tasting post RBWG. Thanks to alexsdad06. Hoppy aroma. Sweet, boozy taste. No way this is 8,5% ABV.
Pretty tasty. drsordr (2656) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Hand bottle from 2012. Mild hazy avg gold. Nose dank hop and booze, slight vegetal. Taste dank hop, heat, and mid palate sweetness. Still a lot of heat. 8.5%, yeah right. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 26, 2012
Sampled at DLD ’12 thanks to Kan. You know he’s the man. Hazed orange with a thin head. Sweet malts orange, grapefruit, and other citrus aromas that are light but nice. Sweet malt flavors. Lemon orange are tasty but there is so much booze. I’m surprised this is only clocking in at 8.5% ABV, maybe there is just no malt to hide that alcohol. Bitter and boozy. 8/4/7/3/14

Draft to taster at Jackie O’s (from notes). Looks good; orange with low carbonation and some white lacing. Smells good; sweet and hoppy. Tastes like it smells, only better with nice balance and a good mouthfeel (especially for being iced). WINNING! pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2012
Growler contributed to and provided by brad. i asked and he was more than happy to send this to be shared on dlday. i had plenty of mini-pours of this over the course of the day... pours a hazy somewhat sticky hazy orangey caramel brown hue and topped with a thin quickly dissipating white to barely off-white head... resinous and grapefruit citrusy hop component abundant in the aroma. mild sweetness throughout but plenty of hops and bitterness still present. some caramel malt backbone lies underneath but plays a subordinate role... flavor are more of the same, a bit thicker in consistency for the very nature of the beer but not to the point of it becoming cloying as there is a mild dryness on the backend that helps curtail that. semi-sweet and bitter grapefruit citrus hop goodness with more citrus rind towards the backend and on through the finish. somewhat fuller in body as previously mentioned. nice semi-bitter finish. a nice treat that eventually creeps up on you if not careful. enjoyed.
