Bottle of 2015 pours a dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Sweet aroma of chocolate, molasses, dates, and candied sugar. Thick and slick palate, sweet flavors of chocolate, caramel, dates, molasses and candied sugar, finishing with light a light bitter earthy roast, nuts, and a touch of alcohol. Very nice!

Sample @ RBWG Tampa Epic Hotel Share. Thanks to whoever brought this! Deep brown pour with a small tan head. Nose is full of chocolate syrup. Mellow earthy charred grain. Flavor skews sweet. Nice chocolate. Pretty oily and chewy. Brown sugar. Light bitter roast. Full bodied. Good sipper.

Bottle from Dutch’s. Dark brown pour, clear with small dark brown fine-bubbled head. Short duration. Minimal lacing. Aroma: roast and chocolate mainly. Don’t pick up anything particularly nutty here. Taste is balanced -- not overly sweet, but not overly roasty or bitter either. Just a nice, middle of the road, well-crafted imperial stout. Full body, slick texture, average carbonation. Long lasting roastiness.

Pours opaque coffee brown with a light tan head. Aroma offers roast malt, molasses, nutty and chocolate notes. Flavor delivers roast malt, nutty, chocolate and subtle molasses notes. Mouthfeel features OK body and lively fizz. Gotta love it - since I was named for another love goddess: Freya.

Walnut aroma. Strong walnut flavor that works really well in this chocolatey stout. Very nutty. Creamy. Thx Jsquire.

Pours a deep black with a sticky and creamy foam head, nicely done. Aroma is sweet, some roast, defined nut presence, a touch of wood, and there is a muted dark fruit scent. Tasting I got a good bit of roasted flavors, booze, walnut taste, some semi sweet syrup notes, noticeable bitterness, wood, and an anise or licorice flavor. Overall this had a good body, nice finish, easy on the palate, but I did not care for the minor licorice like flavor. I would recommend this to any stout lover, a good brew.
