3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2012 1800th rating. 22 oz. bottle from Secret Santa, Summer 2010- thanks again, Santa! Bottled 11/28/2009, bottle 34/156. Pours a bright orange-gold color, somewhat cloudy, with a small eggshell colored head. Aroma of oak, orange citrus that was more like a mellow tangerine, bretty funk, some lemon juice, vanilla, herbs, and a hint of lactose. Flavor of oak, orange citrus, sweet malts, bretty funk, vanilla, and metal. Medium-bodied, with a funky mouthfeel and mild carbonation. The flavor drops out from the nose, and has a sort of flatness to the citrus. Maybe it’s better fresh, and I don’t see this one getting better beyond a year out- drink it now if you have one. Re-Rate, 1/31/12: Not as ’funky’ as I perceived before, but there is a lot of citrusy orange/tangerine/clementine character in this thing. Very unique beer, and better fresh.
Old bottle. Cloudy orange amber pour, with an off white head. Malty, old stale bread, cardboard, a bit of orange, and light Brett notes. Definitely past its prime. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - MAY 17, 2015
Bottle thanks to JStax ! Pours a deep golden orange color with two fingers of white gaseous foam. Nose is very citrus forward with some wet musty oak, rustic grain and lingering barnyard booze. Palate follows with lots of wet barrel funk, barnyard brett, sour orange, clementine, straw, bitter white pith. Lingering backend sweetness rounds out the sour and bitter notes. gunnfryd (14869) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 3, 2014

Clear medium to dark orange colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, funky, leather, brett wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a long duration, funky, sweet fruit - orange, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours murky orange with airy off-white head and some vrownish sediments. Very vinous aroma with notes of hops. Bitter and sour flavour of hops and citrus. Estery notes. Rough aftertaste with acidic notes. Not the way I remember an ASA.

Bottle @ Invasion U.S.A, Ulfborg 2013. Pours hazy orange with a bubbly head. Sweet and oaky. Tart and dry. Lots of alcohol. Not a lot of elegance . . yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 23, 2013
Bottle, 22oz. An unclear, golden-orange beer with a small, dense, light beige head. Orange, wood, pine cones notes and some malts in the aroma. The flavor has orange dominating, with some pepper hints, lemon juice and a woody touch. Some bitterness towards the end. Full-bodied and dry on the palate, some warming notes. Lasting finish. A quite tart one, but tasteful, and also pretty uninteresting. 131123 Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2013
Ulfborg weekend celebration of nothing in particular. Hazy golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of caramel with orange and peach and a touch of bourbon. Dry and tart orange pith dominated flavour with some oak, bourbon, funk, alcohol, hops and bitterness. Many things going on, in all kinds of different directions chrisv10 (17418) - DENMARK - NOV 23, 2013
