Draft to taster at Cappy’s drank with white app. Dark gold with minimal to no head. Nose nice roast, coffee, chocolate, and light cinnamon. Taste dark roast coffee, vanilla, light cinnamon. Nice balancing sweet. I like Oro negro and I certainly like this one. DSG (15519) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 22, 2017
[2/3/17] Draught/Bottle at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston. Deep golden. Chocolate, coffee, sweet, malt, caramel. Tmoney99 (15229) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 28, 2016
Tap. Poured a clear dark amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, vanilla and warm spice aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee, spice sweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is another standout beer. seeswo (13) - Ohio, USA - FEB 7, 2016
Delicious pour had on tap at Jackie O’s. I preferred this over the Oro Negro primarily because it seemed slightly cleaner. Dogbrick (14391) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 28, 2015
Sample at the brewpub during Jackie O’s 10th Anniversary Extravaganza on 12/04/2015. The beer pours a murky brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that recedes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices, malt and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of cinnamon, roasted malt, coffee and subtle peppers. The finish is malty up front with a spice aftertaste. Interesting and enjoyable beer overall.

On tap at the Jackie O’s 10th Anniversary on 12/4/15. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, caramel and cinnamon. Malty and caramelly flavor with cinnamon and coffee accents before a warm pepper finish. phaleslu (11003) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 17, 2015
Draft at the Public House, served in a small glass. Pours a cloudy amber color with an off-white head that forms a thick ring with a wispy bit of film in the middle. Notes of coffee and cocoa beans, cinnamon, peppers, vanilla, caramel, and toasted sugars. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty, spicy mouthfeel that comes out in good balance. This was a nice surprise for me, as I could take or leave White Apparition. And man, does it mask the ABV - dangerous! alexsdad06 (11423) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2015
Draft to taster at Jackie o’s 10th anniversary. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big peppery spice, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon grows, the heat is bigger but works with the flavor of the beer, vanilla is growing as well, I like this more as I go. 5oz on tap at the brewpub. Kind of hazy red orange color. Ring of off-white head. Bit less "Blanco" than expected, but still certainly more pale than the original. Awesome bit of chocolate up front, mild roast, touch of coffee. Great amount of pepper at the back end, and the cinnamon is noticeable if you look for it too, it does it’s job. Touch of nuttiness. Great flavor. Holy crap, this is 11.3%? works well. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, lighter bitter, good pepper kick. Seems like a bit more pepper than I remember the Oro Negro having, but it’s still an impressively balanced pepper beer, and it has great "white stout" character, too. Nice chewiness and "dark" flavors. Bigger body. Nice creamy texture. Mild slick. Lighter carbonation. Awesome pepper white stout. Have to say, I have never seen this particular hybrid of styles. This is a great benchmark (if I ever see this type of thing again). JStax (7400) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2015
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a moderately hazy copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma has strong cinnamon and spicy peppers. Fairly spicy. Lingering heat throughout. Big body and lower carbonation. A little too spicy for me.
