A fusion of sour reds and sour browns, each component ranged from 1-3 years in the barrel. Oak malt, tart jabs, and a funky backbone formed from the complex blend of wild yeast. A balanced interpretation of both east and west Flanders tradition.

3/XII/17 - 37.5cl bottle @ Billies Craft Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2017-2139) Thanks to the Belgian, Dutch and German ratebeerians for sharing today's beers! Thanks to Ster for sharing this bottle!

Little hazy orange to brown red beer, no head. Aroma: very acidic, infected, spicy, caramel, bit roasted. MF: soft carbon, no head. Aroma: very acidic, infected, vinegar, some bitter tannins, little fruity, way too sour. Don't like.

16.9 ounce bottle at Winking Lizard Peninsula Ohio. Brown in color and you can smell the sour of this beer. Very tart, very dry. Taste some of the oak that this beer was aged in. Very unique sour. Very unique beer. Just a sipping beer. Cheers!

Thank you Ster! 375 ml. bottle sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Brown murky. Nose is vinegar acidic USA sour, sour malt, prune, vinegar, berry. Touch watery which brings it a bit down but otherwise prime vinegar, prune, sour malt, puckering malt, low oak,… Still quite nice sour. Pleasant even if a bit messy.

Bottle from alexsdad06. Pours dark brown with an attractive tan head and a sour fruit aroma. There is a hearty sour brown malty flavor with a smooth oak finish. A pleasant drink.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours slightly ruddy brown with a transient beige head. Aroma of rich sour ale. Med body. Flavor is earthy, moderately sour reddish fruits, and a bit of funky oak. The sour is to be reckoned with, but it’s reasonably un-acidic. It’s very tasty. Especially with Grand Chimay cheese.

phaleslu (11002) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 1, 2017
500 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a cloudy, deep, slightly browned amber with a moderate beige head that settles into a ring and wispy island of film. Notes of black cherries, oak, balsamic vinegar, oak, toasted sugars, plums, funk, earth, chocolate, toast, and blueberries. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a fruity, acidic, funky, toasty mouthfeel. This is excellent for a style that normally has a ceiling below this for me. This is Rodenbach level good.

Draft at source. Light vinegar and dried fruit in the nose. Small white head. Flavor follows.

alexsdad06 (11411) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Draft at Jackie o’s. Pours a hazy caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have tart dark fruits, caramel, light toasted malts, the sweet/sour combination is well done, oak, some balsamic notes, some vinous character, pleasant acidity, very nice, continued to show complexity with warming.

djd07 (16465) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 30, 2017
Bottle thanks to George. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong oak, leather, funk, vinegar. Medium body, leather, dark fruit, oak, nice tartness, light acidity, enjoyed this.
