On tap at the Anniversary Extravaganza.
Pours a very dark brown bordering on black. Thin tan head to start, eventually falling into a thin cap without any real lacing. The nose is nice and fairly intense with a good dose of chocolate, roast, coffee, and some sweetness. Faint Nutty character in the background, though I don’t know if I could have detected it without having read about this brew.
The taste is quite similar to the nose, though not quite as complex or well-integrated. Chocolate is the dominant note for me, with the other flavors blending in the background. Mouthfeel is really nice and smooth with good carbonation. Drinks well and I’m looking forward to my bottle of the barrel-aged version.

Had on tap at Jackie O’s....Deep black with not much carbonation, still good looking...The aroma is sublime with a great combination of coffee, light chocolate, and some really sweet bourbon notes. We were confused for awhile between the Rt 33 and BA Rt 33 because the RT 33 has a lot more bourbon and smooth notes to it, then the one that was actually barrel aged. This weirdness totally goes into the taste as well. The non ba version is so much more smooth with better bourbony notes..The taste is excellent, great bourbon as already mentioned with nuts and coffee.
This was for sure was one of the highlights of the night, drink this one then try the ba version and wonder?

Sampled on tap @ Jackie O’s. Pours dark brown in color with a thin beige head. The aroma has roasted malt, sweet chocolate, pecan nuttiness. The flavor starts with sweet chocolate, hints of caramel and the pecans come through nicely. I got a slight tart quality toward the finish. Bouteille partagée avec Markwise.
brune foncée, mousse moka.
Bonne bière qui reste dominée par le bourbon et est-là sa seule bémol.
Le tout reste bien dans le style porter, malt sympa avec une note grillé et caramel sur un fini qui garde des notes d’alcool et de bourbon le tout complimenté par les noix de pécan.

Bomber from Barrel and Bottle Columbus, OH. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is chocolate, pecan, slight vanilla, bourbon, whiskey, and slight molasses. Flavor is chocolate, pecan, bourbon, vanilla, and a silky mouthfeel. Finish of this medium-full bodied porter is smooth with hints of bourbon and pecan. Growler brought to BASC courtesy of StFun and the artist formerly known as moejuck - thanks, dildies. Dark brown pour, fairly dusty with sediment and a modest head. Nose of soft chocolate, pecan spice, and a bit of coffee. Body could be a bit more substantial, but I dig the chalky finish that gives shape to the chocolate. Sampled from the tap at the brewery during the 5th anniversary party. Poured near black with a gray head that dissipated completely. Aroma had a light sweet roasted malt note with light caramel and light pecan. Bottle… South Florida Throwdown 2010… This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black with a small, creamy, beige head. The opulent bouquet is knock-your-socks-off mocha and pecan – huge on the espresso/coffee portion of the mocha component. Full-bodied with a viscous/oily mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is sweet mocha (again, heavy on the espresso/coffee facet) and pecan (shells and all). Some nice tannic bitterness as well – not overbearing. The malt reigns supreme. Finishes super roasty and lightly bitter. Thanks go out to darkguardian for sharing this gem!
