Draft sample (notes from early 2011). Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma had pale toasted malts, grassy, hints of resin with some mild citrus hops. The flavor had bready pale malts, grass, light citrus, with moderate bitterness to the finish. Decent. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2011
on tap-pours a thin rich off white head that laces and yellow color. Aroma is resin/spruce/spice, some light malt. Taste is spruce/spice hops with some bite, some light malt. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2011
Had this on the eve of the August 27th JO’s release. Received in a pint glass.
3.5 A: Golden wheat color. Came without much of a head.
3.0 S: Weak pine and citrus. Surprisingly, also a bit funky. Crisp and clean without much going on on the malt front.
2.5 T: Pretty weak in the flavor department. Basically no malt and just a light citrus and pine hop flavor.
2.5 M: Light body. Good moderate carbonation. Could be creamier. Smooth.
3.0 D: Not really impressed with this. Not much going on. Average on a good day.
Serving type: on-tap

Sample at the brewpub on 8/26/11. Clear gold pour with a thin white head. Malty nose with grass, pine and citrus hop notes. Grassy hop flavor with citrusy hops and a bitter piney and grassy finish. Probably the best of the single hop series so far. Tmoney99 (14456) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Drafte sample at JO’s. Poured clear golden color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with great lacing. Moderate smooth earthy and citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bitter flavor with a smooth bitter finish of average duration. Solid drinkable brew.

Sample at the Jackie O’s Bottle Sale on 08/27/2011. This beer is a clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, grapefruit and slight malt. Light body with a moderately bitter hops presence that has floral and citrus qualities. The finish is hoppy with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Light Gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma is cascade a plenty. Flavor follows suite in what has to be my favorite JO single hop beer. Light tropical fruit, citrus, & pine. Resinous aftertaste
