Draft at Jackie O’s Public House, 7/14/14. Pours a hazy reddish brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, roast, dark fruits, spice. UPDATED: JUL 20, 2010 Sample at Jackie O’s as part of Ohio Brew Week. This brew is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Caramel malt aroma with some dark fruity notes. Medium body with a strong malt base and flavors of caramel, dark fruit and chocolate. Sampled from the tap at the brewery during the 5th anniversary party. (Listed as ’Sparkbock’ on brewery list, typo?) Poured a hazy amber red with a near white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma had notes of sweet earthy grains with a bit of oak and biscuit. Draft at Jackie O-s during Fifth Anniversary party from notes. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had toasted grainy and biscuity malts, caramel, hints of fruits, earthy hops, the oak is present through the finish.

Draft in a sampler on the Public House side. Pours a deep, hazy amber with a small but lasting beige head. Notes of brown sugar, pecan, caramel, dry cereal malts, mellow spices, and dates. Sample on tap at the brewpub. Dark brown red color, good light tan head, excellent, even lace. Lighter smooth carbonation. Dry finish, good long light bittersweet aftertaste. Interesting brew. Lots of lace. Rich chocolate nutty aroma, that has a weird kind of acidic bite. Bit spicy.
