Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, smoke, light meat. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, smoked, roasted, sweet malt, light meat. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

GBBF Day 1. Hazy dark amber - red - brown beer. Small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and light, semi dry. Smooth malt with a mild dark chocolate streak. Whisper of smoke. Very fine minerally carbonation. Touch of dark fruits before a smooth and dry finish. Not bad at all.
Bottle drank at Hill Farmstead while waiting for the Harvest Festival VIP session to begin, Vermont. Pours clear, rich brown with a big, tan cream head. Burnt brown sugar nose with some earth and light ham. Medium sweet flavor with some dry earth, light smoke, toasty bread, light bitterness.
