Received from Allen, thanks a bunch man! Poured into a BCS tulip. Pours a murky orange-brown in color with a half fingers worth of off-white head that quickly dissipates to a soapy ring of bubbles around the glass. Nose is all smoked malts, it reminds me of an aecht scherlenka. Maple is lost on the nose though. Flavor is smoke as well with a little sweetness on the finish, no maple whatsoever though. Mouthfeel is light and slightly slick, carbonation is good, and it has a light to moderate finish. Pretty solid smoked beer from these two, pretty drinkable and isn’t oppressively heavy handed with the smoked malt. Marheb (5778) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Nose is heavy smoke, maple, beef, more smoke. Thin on the palate, heavy smoke, malts, light maple. egajdzis (6589) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Hazy light brown with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, smoke, maple, and brown sugar. Taste of caramel malts, maple, brown sugar, burnt toast, and a smokey finish. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Great stuff. Aroma is smokey with a hint of maple wood. Pours red with slight film. Taste is delightful with the smoke and maple being the starts of the show. Balances nicely with that lager biscuit taste. A little extreme for a lager so I would keep the quantity to a minimum.

Pours hazy amber with almost no head. The aroma brings bacon and maple syrup, a delicious smokey breakfast. The flavor brings some smoked and mapley malts, not super sweet by any means, but soft and smooth on the tongue. The smoke is not overbearing either. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Pours a dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma has light roast, dry leaves, tree bark, and mild smoke. Flavor light sweet maple, mild rroast/fruity maltiness, and smokiness creeping in and cutting through the sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry smoky/maple finish. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 18, 2013
50cl bottle pours a hazy, caramel amber with some wispy, white head. Nose is some light smoke, a little cherry wood, some light maple, almost a maple wine aroma, some brown sugar, malt. Flavor is a weird mix of sausage fat and sweet maple, I guess it tastes like breakfast sausage, but not in a great way, honey, malt, brown sugar, some bread, some pitted fruit, a little cherry, date. Full, sweet and smokey finish. A strange combo. cheap (5862) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2013
On tap at the house de 1000. I hate smoked beers but the barmaid at the house gave me a sample of this to try for free. I was very suprized at its drinkability for a lager lover. slight metal aroma. some haze in a darker amber brown liquid. yes, maple fer sure. not over the top what so ever. makes me think about bacon but its not in yer face. quite acce[table beer experince. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2013
