This flavor profile is usually encountered in porter-style beers, but expressed as a lager it’s nonetheless delicious. The description tells me that it is perfectly acceptable for someone like me to drink this all day long..... I wonder how many bottles I would need for that? Nose is caramel malts, maple syrup, touch of smoke.
Taste comprises smoked gammon, sugars, caramel, syrup.

Ok - a little to sweet. johnnnniee (4285) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a smallish off white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of earthy sugar with a solid hit of smokey phenols and little else. The flavor follows the aroma, sweet sugary malts with plenty of smoked flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick smokey mouthfeel. Nice beer but a bit boring. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - JUN 9, 2013
500 ml bottle from trade with 46er3498. Pours a slightly cloudy amber color with a small foamy head that lingers a bit. Aroma is smoke, bacon, and a nice lactose sweetness. Taste is interesting, a mix of a sugary candy sweetness with smooth smokey bacon. The sweetness is a bit overpowering. I think the smoke could be a little stronger to help balance it a little. Medium to thick body, mouthfeel is smooth and a little syrupy. Overall, it gets points for being unique but it’s not something I’ll drink again probably. 500ml bottle. Pours amber with very little off white head that goes away fairly quickly. Smoky aroma. Oily palate. Sweet flavors of maple and candy sugar making this a tad too sweet for my liking but not bad for what it is.

Interesting collaboration lager. Reminds me of a 50/50 blend of Lawsons Maple Nipple and JA Smoke and Dagger, but it turns out better then both those beers in my opinion. Interesting spicy maple flavor blends with a meaty smokeyness. rejtable (2624) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2013
Tap at Farmhouse. Typically smoke AND maple are my two least favourite things in beer, so I really shouldn’t have ordered this, but with two very interesting breweries behind it I had to try. Pours amber with some head and little lacing. Notes of bacon, smoke, some maple but not overwhelming. Nicely balanced. Medium body with lively carbonation. tap. pleasant campfire smoked back by some old earthy smoked doughs. maple and lactose sugars make this a tad too sweet for my liking. potent beer that seems more enjoyable in smaller doses. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUN 2, 2013
A smokey maples toasty beer. Simple and tasty, I liked it, copper color. williamstome (1865) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 2, 2013
