COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was brewed as a collaboration between Jack’s Abby and Lawson’s Finest Liquids. Valley Malt malted all the 2-row malt in addition to the specially smoked malt with hand-sourced wood from VT. Brewed with one gallon of maple syrup per barrel of beer. An addition of lactose sugar and brown malt rounds out a beer that tastes great from breakfast till dessert. Enjoy! May 2013 release.

Caramel brown pour, thin tan head. Lots of smoke and maple flavors combined with a dry earthy lager. Damn fine brew.

Pours deep amber into an English pint. Sickly white head recedes to skim surface. Sweet maple and smoke aromas. Dry and sweet with maple syrup, bread and caramel upfront turning to mild smoky campfire in the lasting finish. Better than it looks...

On tap at Blackback. Pours hazy golden orange with super creamy white head. Aroma is light on the smoke, taste is a salty, maple nuts, smokey, pretzel, good bit of caramel malt and wood. Perfect amount of smoke, not overpowering but present. Cheers.

On tap @ The Reservoir (Waterbury). Clear golden/amber with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma of smokey meat (but not overwhelming), maple, caramel and nutty notes. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with smoke, cereals, maple, caramel, malt and nuts. Medium body. Mouthfeel is slightly dry. Crisp. Very good balance, which is so important in a Smoked beer. Smoked meat and maple are both present, but just the right amount of it. A perfect beer for breakfast.
