Bottle: Deep amber, hazy, large frothy sandy head, nice lacing. Nose of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and perhaps a hint of clove. Smooth on the tongue, all the aformentiond spices albeit no clove is coming through. Simple yet clean. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Starts out slight sweet, but loses it sweetness quickly. Finishes with subtles spices. Nice example, would be a bit better had it been a bit sweeter on the backside. damzz (501) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Pours clear orange gold with a thick white head. Aroma is pumpkin spice. Taste is a delightful pumpkin spice with the lightness and crispness of a lager. A nice change form pumpkin ales. Reynolds314 (3450) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 10, 2012
One of the better pumpkin beers out there. Really tasty and crisp with nice spice and pumpkin flavor. The lager body is wonderful and nothing is over done. A subtle easy drinking good beer. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - NOV 9, 2012

bottle. pours a clear copper with a quickly fading dirty white head. notes of sweet cooked pumpkin pie, toasted pumpkin seeds, caramelized brown sugar, with a toasted nuts and marshmallow. okay, touch too sweet for my liking. hits the sweet pumpkin pie drink character up well enough. fine.

500ml bottle, thanks to radarsock. October 2012 version. Nice authentic pumpkin and squash aroma up front. Light nutmeg, cinnamon. Awesome, smooth texture, lighter carbonation. Nice dry texture. Hazy orange - amber color. Good thin off-white head, that has good retention. Nice savory and spice taste, little sweet. Good sections of lace. As far as pumpkin beer goes, this beats most of the ales that I’ve tried that are of similar gravity. Well-done. LeRose (73) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 6, 2012
Basically, I really liked this beer. Pour was a nice, deep golden color, decent head with enough retention. Aroma wasn’t overwhelming - kind of subtle like the kitchen after the pie baking is done. Taste followed suit - not one dominant flavor, nice sweetness in the brown sugary way, seemed balanced pretty well to me. Flavors of roasted pumpkin at the end, and the sweetness lingered a tad. Lighter mouth feel than some of the other pumpkins we’ve tried. Not so thick and heavy on the tongue as some others of this pumpkin ilk. A very enjoyable brew and worth the search IMO. Snagged the last three bottles at the local shop. davey101 (751) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 4, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2012 October 2012 vintage, 500ml into a SA perfect pint.
A - Pours a very clear dark brown/red color. One finger off white head settles into a very thin cap and edging. Quick but noticeable lacing.
S - Typical pie spices of cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, and ginger. A vegetal quality on the end that really does hint towards actual pumpkin and squash.
T - Pie spices initially. Finish is pumpkin flesh and brown sugar. Very fresh and authentic tasting. Dry finish allows the beer to never seem too sweet or spicy. Mouth feel is crisp and well carbonated.
O - A surprising twist on the pumpkin beer in the fact that its a lager. Very clean and easy drinking with a pleasant and authentic pumpkin/spice flavor. Probably the most approachable and balanced pumpkin beer I’ve tried. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - OCT 23, 2012
500mL Bottle, purchased at Provisions - Northampton, MA. Aromatics centered on roasted vegetables and baked pumpkin flesh, accented with rendered cinnamon quality. Flavors pick up way too much cinnamon, burying a detectable signal of orange starchiness beneath a sheen of spice. This feels very watery and one note, with the sugar subtleties struggling to rise above the lack of sweetness and the overall thinness. Bummer. thornecb (5917) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Pours deep slightly hazed amber into a Sam glass. White head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Cinnamon, pumpkin and nutmeg aromas. Soft with sweet caramel upfront turning to pumpkin and spice in the dry, medium length finish.
