Clear golden coloured body with a decent, three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of bitter pungent malt, earth, funk and a lot of bitterness. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive funky bitterness from the malt and a good deal of metal. Some rather deep notes later on with the malt front and centre and very little else. Aftertaste shows a light fruity sweetness with a grain and deeper malt finish. Overall, a decent, at best, beeer with it pretty much falling well short of what I was expecting of it. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Union Square), New York on 30-May-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 13-July-2016.

This is a damn fine lager beer. It’s your typical craft brew cloudy blonde w/ a foamy head. This has a big, floral noble hop character w/ just a hint of crackery malts in the background. It’s full bodied w/o being sweet or heavy and finishes w/ a solid dollop of herbal hop bitterness. I could drink this all day and I probably would if I had any more of it.

This was poured into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a light yellow color. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a one to two finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. Messy lacing ran here and there. The smell starts off with some sweet corn malts. Light grassy to lightly spicy hops. Light biscuity dryness. The taste was sweet first and then slides into some light spice. Semi-smooth sweet to spicy aftertaste with a fairly wet semi-sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it. Crisp and smooth, with a good penetration hitting the tongue. Overall, perfect for a late Spring day. Would love to have again and definitely be stellar with food.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is pilsner malts, light cracker with noble and grassy hops. Appearance is slightly hazy pale greenish-yellow with minimal sparkle, fizzy three-finger width white head with fair retention and minimal soapy lacing. Taste is pilsner malt cracker with light sweetness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and dry finish. Overall, pretty true to traditional European stylings. Light and crisp.
