10.01.05 GABF Clear copper pour with amber highlights and lingering fizz. Sour aromas of milk and canned green beans with nutmeg. More cooked veggies in the flavor but it ain’t pumkin, pumkin. Seriously overspiced as though the marketers are trying to make a point. Fizzy and watery with a crazy amount of eff. BeerandBlues2 (13810) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 8, 2005
Bottle. Pours copper with tiny rising bubbles and a medium foamy off-white head with lined lacing. Sour malt (grain) and yeast (sweat) aromas to start with some pumpkin pie spices (nutmeg, clove) throughout and hints of cooked pumpkin. Pumpkin malty with cloves and nutmeg, sour yeast and hoppy finish. Medium to light crisp clean refreshing palate. Crash (549) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - OCT 5, 2005
This was my first pumpkin beer. It wasn’t too bad but, it didn’t have the aroma I was looking for. It was OK, and I might buy it again if the season it right. Massey (14) - pella, Iowa, USA - OCT 5, 2005
Good beer. Way to much nutmeg. Perfect seasonal beer, that will proble go well with a big slice of pumpkin pie.
