At Bruges Beer Fest 2017. Pours clear red with a small pink head. Smells of lambic. The aroma also contains cherries and sugar. It tastes medium sweet and medium sour. Short finish, fizzy carbonation. Expected more, Lindemans Kriek is in any case tastier.

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a snifter. The beer is a dark red with a pink head of foam. Good head retention. The aroma has jammy cherry notes, but the taste is more like the cherry flavored tootsie rolls. I get sweet cherry notes and chocolate tootsie roll notes in the taste. Sweet at first, with a moderate acidity to it. Lingering fruity finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall it is pretty good, but it is odd how sweet the beer is in comparison to Cuvee des Jacobin.

Tap @ Mekong - Lovely ruby color, pink head, tons of lacing. Tart cherries, a touch of stinky cheese, raspberries, oak, vanilla. Drinks very smoothly, syrupy mouth feel. Very nice!!

Bottle - pours rouge with a short lived white head. Aroma is not strong, but hints of the sourness to come. Taste is immediately sour but with just a touch of sweetness to take off the sharp edges. Cherries are there, but the overall is sourness with no suprises and no bad aftertaste. Paired with a nice strong sweet Imperial Stout and heaven feels like its within reach... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Aroma is big sweet and tart cherries, tart red fruits with a touch of oak. Flavour is pretty sweet and moderate sour. Body is medium. Pretty sweet and lacking dryness, but I like this.

250 ml bottle, not sure where I got it, possibly from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 26.03.14. ABV is 4.5%. Deep red colour, small off-white / pinkish head. Strong aroma of sour cherries, almond essence and marzipan. Moderately sour, fairly sweet and very fruity flavour, with loads of cherries and almond essence. Would like some more acidity and less residual sugar.

Clear ruby colour, small pink tinged head. Aromas of cherry jam and apple cider vinegar. The taste is pretty much exactly the same, with a slight woody/nutty note as well. Light bodied. Not bad, but the cherry flavour is more like Dr Pepper than fresh cherries.
